“LARGE”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2013

We ordered the large and split it between 3 people! It was plenty!!! There are many sauces to top off the fries. From curry to ketchup there is a dipping sauce for everyone! Perfect stop to refuel and keep moving as you explore Amsterdam.

“Huge portions, worth a visit.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2013

If you are intending to try The Netherlands' famous fries and mayonnaise combination while in Amsterdam; I would definitely recommend coming here.
The portions are huge and it took us a long time to get through the very nice large "pommes frites" which perhaps were a little to salty.
The location is very central and the shop is pretty hard to miss.

“HUGE PORTIONS”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2013

This was our second time trying Dutch fries in Amsterdam. Because we were sharing between two people, we opted for the large (big mistake) with the fritesauce (mayo). Although they could have been cooked a little longer to create a better crunch, they were still good. Keep in mind that the large can literally feed 4 people easily (no joke), so if you are looking for something to munch on, share a small or at most a medium between two people. Service is friendly, and the line moves quickly.

“Unlikely Name, Unbelievable Fries!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

Named for the statue of the urinating boy in Brussels, this sidewalk-side purveyor of "pommes frits" (French Fries Potatoes) has several shops in bothe Brussels and Amsterdam, but the one ar Damrok 41 (between Central Rail Station and Dam Square) served THE best french fries on the planet!

These fries are a Flemish delicacy made from fresh cut potatoes and fries to a golden tan in light oils before being generously endowed with sea salt and stuffed into paper cones to be eaten as a talke-away treat while walking the streets. Twenty odd sauce toppings are available, but the locals generally opt for the "Spicey Mayonnaise" with just a hint of cayenne and garlic...delicious!

For less than 5 Euros you are set for lunch of a late evening attack of the munchies after visiting some of the local "coffee shops" and sampling some of the oft-times free cannabis "samples"; or some of the excellent beers in the many local pubs that dot the area.

“french fries?no!! dutch fries !!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 13, 2013

I am a big amateur of french fries and I have to admit that those whom I ate here, in Amsterdam, were excellent. Neither in Belgium, nor in France, fries are also good as in the Netherlands. Maybe, In N' Out to Anaheim California can compete.
