“Comfortable and friendly.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed today NEW via mobile

A comfortable stay. Clean bathroom and bedroom. Good breakfast. Good location. A short walk to centre but away from busy streets. Would recommend. Some noise on Friday evening but otherwise quiet. Helpful staff. Would use again.

This was my 4th visit to this friendly hotel in 6yrs visiting the Carre theatre next door. The staff on reception were fantastic in their help and advise with all aspects of the hotel and local transport links, as well as places of interest and attractions. I had a twin room with skylight on the ground floor and found it to be quiet and spotlessly clean not to mention warm and cosy on a cold night, very comfortable bed with plenty of soft pillows. A nice and plentiful buffet breakfast made my recent visit another memorable one and ensures that my next trip to Amsterdam will guarantee a return to this lovely friendly clean hotel.

This beautiful hotel is positioned just a short walk from all the attractions. We were a party of 13 and rented 2 double rooms and the most wonderful apartment on the top floor. The apartment had everything needed for self catering as well as being far enough away from the main hotel for the girls the party. Breakfast was a wonderful buffet and the hotel was warm and comfortable with the most helpful staff.

Lovely hotel near the famous “Skinny Bridge”, overlooking the canal. We had a double room which was a good size and very clean. Good free Wi Fi. Breakfast was buffet, plenty choice, nicely presented. Staff at front desk very helpful with maps and directions (in English) to Amsterdam’s many attractions. Near Weesperplein Metro stop (Metro runs from Central Station where Schiphol Airport train comes into) but you are within handy walking distance of city centre. All in all, a very pleasant stay

Room Tip: Some rooms had balcony , not a useful feature in Feb however nice to have in the Summer

Went for friends 50th, 7-9th February, shared a triple room, got there early but room was ready and able to go straight in. Staff were very friendly and helpful, room was really spacious, didn't feel as if we were on top of each other. Room was on ground floor with window out to small courtyard. Clean wooden flooring with tiling in bathroom, felt so much cleaner than carpets. Breakfast was downstairs with plenty of seating and lots of choice, constant fresh supply of food throughout time we were there, which set us up for the day.
It would have been nice to have tea/ coffee facilities in room, they were free in lounge area by reception, although it wasn't self service the receptionist showed us how to use the machine to make our own.
Definitely not suitable for anyone who has mobility problems, steep steps to front of hotel and I believe there were no lifts.
Nice location right on Amstel riverside, thought it was more central but found it ideal after seeing some areas. We purchased tram passes and got around really easy thanks to map that hotel gave us as it showed all tram numbers. Tried to see as much as possible whilst there, Van Gogh museum is worth a visit purchase tickets from roadside outlet as you pay same price as at museum entrance but it gives you fast track entry. Went to Anne Frank museum but the queue was over an hour wait and it was raining so thought we'd try on last day. We had looked at the red light tour that you can pay for but I managed to find the itinerary online so printed it off, estimated 1 & half hours, but with not being tied we were able to stop off when we wanted. Really interesting being able to follow the tour and have the information visited the sex museum even though we were apprehensive, it was quite an eye opener. The Red Light museum is a definite to do, the insight into the history and the life different girls have to lead was at times upsetting from a mothers perspective.
On the Monday we tossed a coin to whether we went to Anne Frank museum or Church in the attic, we chose the church in the attic and was so glad we did, the history behind it was so informative with the aide of info machines as we went round, for me I think out of all the places we visited this was the best.

Room Tip: If our room was anything to go by I would think all rooms will be of same standard.

I stayed here in February this year, and previously February last year. The staff bend over backwards to help with anything you need, the rooms are spacious, light and airy. The hotel is very quiet, even the sound from the theatre two doors up doesn't bother you. I have stayed on the ground floor and the first floor and both rooms were absolutely lovely. Breakfast is lovely, all very fresh with lovely staff again helping you with absolutely anything. The hotel is a very short walk from the centre of Amsterdam and easy to access the metro etc. Love staying in Amsterdam, and love the bridge hotel.

I stay at the Bridge Hotel in February every year for five nights whilst I run a training course at a near by university. The staff are very helpful and friendly to all guest. Breakfast is good and plentiful, free WIFI and quite well maintained rooms. The Bridge Hotel is on the Amstel canal and twenty meters from the World famous skinny bridge. All the great sights and scenes of Amsterdam are within easy walking distance.

A wonderful place to stay.

Room Tip: Room 3 is very quite for those who have trouble sleeping.
