“Steady as she goes...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago

On this, our fifth visit, the staff are as happy, helpful and businesslike as always, the room as comfortable as can be desired, and the breakfasts as enjoyable as ever. Unlikely to disappoint, it is highly recommended. It's not easy to maintain this level of consistency, which makes one appreciate it even more.

Room Tip: We've tried several, and all are well appointed, even the cheaper alternatives.

We travelled as a group of 5 at the beginning of December.
We had 2 rooms, a double and a 4 bed appt. Both rooms décor was functional,to a decent standard and very clean. The appt. was brilliant, good size and really comfortable The only downside was no hob or oven, just a microwave. Didn't really bother us(we were only staying for couple of days) but something to bear in mind for longer stays. The balcony was a great little bonus(beautiful in the summer I imagine). Really good Wi-Fi signal as well.
The breakfast was a standard continental buffet style. Could have a had a bigger selection but certainly did the job.
The location was Awesome. Once we found our baring's it was only 10-15 minutes walk to Rembrandt Square,15-20 to the centre but it was just far enough out to be wonderfully quiet. The metro station is just round the corner if you don't fancy the walk.
The staff are all really nice and friendly and made the stay enjoyable, we will defiantly be back.
One thing to note is the amount and steepness of the stairs to the appt. A common feature in Amsterdam but not suitable if you have difficulty walking.

We stayed here in a group of eight on two separate occasions in 2013. Our twin rooms were of perfect size for what we needed them for, freshening up between sight-seeing and sleeping! On our second stay (of the same trip), we stayed in a loft apartment which was amazing. The decor was trendy and hip, with everything you need. Special mention goes to the beds. Very comfortable! We were in Amsterdam for NYE and our balcony gave us an amazing view of the endless fireworks that go off for over an hour. It was great value for money. The location was away from the hustle bustle of Amsterdam. The walk was lengthy into the main strip (shops, monuments, red light district, clubs). However, this probably worked out in our favour as we were not disturbed when trying to relax or sleep. Breakfast was basic, yet sufficient. I would definitely return whether it is alone, with a partner or in a group.

Beautiful view from the window, good breakfast and helpfull staff like Dutch people in general. We had big rooms, very light with the splendid view on the canals. Room was being cleaned every day. Hotel is located close to everything in the center, the only disappointment was that there was no elevator in the hotel, but living on the upper floor was a good choice. Good value for money, we will come back again.

I have chosen the hotel because of the location. The view on the gracht is beautiful. The hotel is walking distance from center (for those who like to walk it a beautiful walk) and around the corner to the subway. Very simple concept but very clean and very pleasant and friendly staff, maybe the breakfast might be a bit more rich for the rate paid. I would stay again anytime when going to Amsterdam.

We stayed 3 days at The Bridge Hotel, it was definetely the most expensive hotel where we stayed and we were not impressed.
We were advised that hotels in Amsterdam are expensive and have a poor condition/comfort, to be clear, but we did not expected to be this dissapointed, at least we thought even if it's expensive at least there should be other good points.

The main highlight of The Bridge Hotel it's the excellent positioning in Amsterdam. We booked a Channel View Room and we we're delighted by the distance between the hotel and main touristic atractions. Also, it's in a very quiet (and safe) area.
The reception service was great, we did not need much information, it was clearly stated every next question that we've might got.

We were dissapointed because it was cold on our arrival in the room and on consecutive days they shuted down the heating in the room and when we got back it was quite cold.
The room it's big but it's with very basic furniture.

We requested a room on a higher floor.. well, it was a challenge to climb the narrow stairs.
Also the bed it's not a kingsize, it's only two separate beds putted together and with wheels, so I would not recommend it for a couple.
The breakwast was the same on every day, decent.

We loved our stay in Amsterdam, the hotel positioning helped us a lot but I think they can greatly improve their service.

Came here as a last minute find and was surprised by how good it was. Very clean rooms, not a fault here at all. The staff were all friendly and the breakfast was as expected. Great hotel and not far from the centre of Amsterdam, a short walk away on a fairly quiet road.
