The Hotel is in a very good localization. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The whole hotel is spotlessly clean, including all the bathrooms. Beds were very comfortable. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would return.

The hotel was great, the staff were great, the rooms were great, the breakfast was great. The stairs!!!!!!!! After 5 days we were glad we didn't have to negotiate the stairs again. So next time just two or three days will be our limit but we would stay again and recommend it to anyone.

What a wonderful hotel in a perfectly situated part of Amsterdam. The breakfast was varied and plentiful and the rooms were well catered and clean. I'd highly advise. If anybody's looking for a central hotel with everything they need, this is a suitable place to stay.

This was our first visit to Amsterdam and what a find Hotel Clemens was.
This is one of the best little hotels I have had the pleasure to stay in.From the moment we arrived till the time we left my wife and I were made very welcome.
The rooms ,the breakfast EVERYTHING was perfect.
When booking I opted for a quiet room at the back of the hotel, but it was a little small,so upon asking we were moved to a bigger room 201 at the front which was perfect(but is a bit noisy from the outside street especially the Trams which rumble past but you soon get used to this )
In summary this hotel is of the highest quality and very well decorated and spotlessly clean and in a very good location.
I cannot fault it at all and can't wait to go back.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are quieter but a little small , front rooms bigger but can get a bit of noise fro...

What a great place to lodge in one of my favorite cities. I stayed there in May 2013, and it was such a wonderful experience, that I am now going back to write about it. Everything was perfect, the staff was simply amazing and very helpful. Nice breakfast, great location. Yes, there are lots of stairs, but it's Amsterdam! Can't wait to go back.

Myself and My girlfriend stayed here for 2 nights in February this year. Great hotel and great staff - Upon arrival you have to climb a steep set of stairs, however as soon as you buzz the buzzer to let you in the door the gentleman on reception runs down to greet you and insists upon carrying the bag (staircases and narrow stairwells are commonplace in Amsterdam and should therefor not be a negative thing)

We arrived at the hotel 2 hours before the check in time however as our room was ready this was not a problem, so we sat on the hotels balcony overlooking the street with a complimentary coffee while our bags were taken to our room. The room itself was small but very adequate - we chose a room at the front of the building which had lovely french doors opening onto a balcony, which again overlooked the street. Rooms are very well equipped with all the mod cons - aircon/heat, large flat screen wall mounted, table and the balcony also has seating.

All in all I would always recommend this hotel to friends and family, though older or disabled guests may struggle with the stairs and lack of elevator.

Location wise perfect due to the fact it is in one of the upper class suburbs of a very small city. however an easy stroll to all of Amsterdams delights.

Room Tip: Personally I would always take a room with a balcony - so the front room are a must, and although th...

What can I say about this lovely hotel, we stayed here for 3 glorious nights over the warmest weekend so far this year.when you first go through the front door you're confronted by a very steep stair case, (most hotels are the same). But once up the steps it opens up into a wonderful refurbished hotel and every room has been sympathetical decorated. We loved it, so clean and tidy.
The staff are very welcoming and friendly and always happy to help!
The rooms are all quite small but manageable, we coped well in ours. There is complimentary tea and coffee 24/7.
Breakfast is continental style , breads, cheeses, toasts, croissants etc all very nice indeed. I will one day return to the Clemens as its a wonderful hotel in a very central location, just perfect in my opinion.
