We have just returned from Amsterdam and we stayed at this charming hotel. It truly was excellent. The hotel is situated just a short tram ride from the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam, which is good, so it makes it quiet to sleep and a pleasure to come back home to. The trams run very frequently right outside the hotel so that is not a problem (and if you are worried about the noise from the trams, they have very good double glazing and you can hardly hear them). The service at the hotel was impeccable. Run by a very nice family where nothing is too much trouble. There is a continental breakfast included with the price of the room and it was excellent - cereals, fresh meats & cheeses, eggs, yoghurt and the most delicious fresh rolls with butter and jam. The hotel is situated about 3 minutes from the Van Gogh museum and Rijks Museum where you can see numerous works of art by both Van Gogh and Rembrandt. Vondel Park is just around the corner for a relaxing stroll after a hard day. The stairs are quite steep though in the hotel which might make it difficult for some as there is no elevator (however, every museum house that we went in was the same - a trend in Amsterdam). I cannot fault this hotel at all and would totally recommend it to anyone who is visiting Amsterdam.
