Loes is quite helpful, Hans tries hard to be the irascible curmudgeon, and they succeed in hosting a very nice hotel in a very nice location. Yes, the hotel is a bit South of most of the sights but for the museums and the Concertgeboew, but in reality between the trams and walking (as Amsterdam is pretty compact) you can get anywhere you want to go in 15 minutes or less. The hotel is very clean, the breakfasts are good, and with the owners on site you get great service. This wasn't the cheapest hotel on our trip, nor the fanciest, but it was one of our favorites.

Staff was great and very friendly. Breakfast pancakes were yummy. The room was very clean. Free use of computer internet downstairs and convenient tickets for museums available to avoid the lines. Also very close to trams #2 and 5 as well as the Rijks and Van Gogh. Would return again.

Comfy bed, clean and modern bathroom and excellent breakfast. As a bad back sufferer, I am always concerned about hotel beds and had absolutely no problems at this hotel. Location was very convenient to the tram line as well. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

Hotel Fita Owners, Jans & Joes, were beyond friendly & hospitable. Service made us feel like we were visitors in their own home, and not guests at a hotel. From home-made breakfast to taxi & attraction ticket service, the service was just simply outstanding!

I definitely recommend this hotel for anybody visiting Amsterdam Old South district (Art museum district).
