very peaceful atmosphere , hotel located in a residential quarter , restful decoration of the cosy bedrooms , excellent documentation about amsterdam , proximity of Arts Museum ( Rijksmuseum , Van Gogh Museum ) , many tramway lines to go everywhere , close to boat stops

My husband and I really loved this hotel. It was clean and it smelled clean, too. The location was very good and the staff were very helpful. The room we stayed in was spacious (not just by Amsterdam standards) and had a nice big bathroom, lovely big windows and a balcony. The view wasn't anything special, but the street is quiet at night, so if you value a good night's sleep more than an exciting view, this hotel is certainly a good choice.

One of the best things is their buffet breakfast served in a pretty little room. We found ourselves rather looking forward to all those scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, pastries of all kinds, fruit salad...
makes me hungry to be writing about it now!

The only shortcoming was our bed which was two twin beds put together, but that is a common feature of most hotels in Amsterdam. Otherwise the bed was quite comfortable.

We certainly felt very lucky to have chosen this hotel and would recommend it to anyone.

Hotel Fita is a good choice because of the following reasons:

Location - quite area close to all attractions of Amsterdam - walking distance to museums, 15 minutes tram to the Central station

Clean rooms with good size bathrooms.

Very good service, including nice gestures like glass of champagne on arrival

Breakfast is included

Price for value is reasonable

You always can discuss your needs with the staff - for example, they can book the shuttle to the airport or tickets for the excursions.

Recommendations - book in advance.

I can't wait to return to the Hotel Fita. Large/Clean Rooms, free breakfast, WiFi, and calls including to US. Within walking distance to Rijks, Van Gogh, and tram lines that will take you to Centraal Station & Dam Square. Hans is an awesome host!.
