We stayed at the Hotel Fita for 3 nights. The room had 2 twin sized beds. The room itself was quite large, equal to US standards. The bathroom was also very large. The entire hotel was spotless. The breakfast was simple, but, tasty and ample. The staff, particularly the owners, were always very helpful. I will not hesitate to stay here again.

  • Liked — Family owned hotel. It was also very clean.

Great little hotel. I was very happy with my stay and definately would stay again. It was clean with a nice breakfast. The hotel keepers were very knowledgeable with information. A reasonably priced nice hotel.

  • Liked — Clean, nice and good breakfast.
  • Disliked — The single room was small--but then I expected it and was prepared for it.

In April 2008, I spent four nights at Hotel Fita. I made reservations there based on the reviews I had read. I was not disappointed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good and was a wonderful way to start each day. As others mentioned, the rooms were relatively small, very clean and functional, but very sufficient for my purposes. I arrived after an overnight flight about 10 a.m. with the expectation that I would be able to leave my bags there since check-in wasn't until 3. My room was available so they let me check in right away and I was very thankful that they did as it allowed me to take a short nap and relax. I would be hard pressed to find a downside to this hotel, but the only one would be that they are located right next to a small playground that can get a little noisy during school hours. Thank you Hotel Fita for providing such excellent service and thank you to TripAdvisor for letting me know you exist!

We have just returned from a joint short break with our American friends in Hotel Fita. We were made to feel very welcome and comfortable. With free telephone (international and international), a splendid new coffee machine, free internet and coffee/tea making facilities in our room, this small family hotel provides more services than larger, more luxurious hotels.
The location is excellent, with the Rijksmuseum at the end of the road, the Van Gogh museum around the corner and Concertgebouw within walking distance.
The owner makes sure everyone is happy and provides tourist information for anyone who needs it.
This was my third visit to the hotel, and I will certainly return again!

My husband, 10 yr old son and I stayed here for two nights and found it to be an excellent location to explore Amsterdam. Half a block from the Van Gogh museum. We were able to buy our museum tickets here too - which got us quickly into the museum and past a block long line of people trying to buy tickets there.

Beds were comfortable. Big bathroom with bathtub and rubber ducky. Breakfast, included, was very good with lots of variety: fruits, cheeses, eggs, pastries, good coffee and teas. Owners are very friendly and helpful.
