We stayed at the Seven Bridges Hotel for a long weekend getaway. Its location couldn't be any more perfect, situated in the heart of the Golden Bend. We purchased the "I Am Amsterdam" card and the tram stop is just a minute away from the hotel. But if you prefer to travel on foot, Seven Bridges is in close proximity to pretty much everything. Plus, who could resisit a romantic walk along these beautiful canals in Amsterdan. As for the room, we stayed in Room #6, directly facing the canal. The owner was worried that we may find it noisy, but we had absolutely no complaints. It was pleasantly quiet. The room decor is just as described & photographed at their website. I haven't seen other rooms in person, but our room is exactly (100%) as described in website. Very charming, clean & lovely. Speaking of website, the hotel does not do any online/internet booking. One must contact them directly. They are extremely good at getting back to inquiries/bookings. Very smooth process.
Overall, our experience at the Seven Bridges was great. For those of you from North American, I would not call it a "Hotel" as it lacks the amenities one often associates with a hotel. It is more like a Bed & Breakfast. An EXCELLENT one. Way better than staying at a hotel, unless you want the gym, pool, concierage, room service, restaurant....the whole nine yards. But those of you looking for quaint private places that is quiet enough yet conveniently located, this is the place to you. And I almost forgot about the breakfast they served. Portion was very generous and certainly enough to prepare for all the walks in the city. Peaceful. Quaint.
