“Perfect location, comfortable rooms and geat service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2013

It's so nice to meet a host who really cares. Helpful, polite and always smiling. This makes this place worth the stay even before you even walk inside to see the nice rooms and enjoy the lovely breakfast either in the hotel or at any of the numerous cafes nearby.

And as for a location it probably doesn't get much better than this with all the main attractions close by and plenty of young mums on their bikes ready to 'run you over' if you are not fully aware of where you are walking!! :)

The only drawback at this wonderful hotel is the spiral stairs which can prove challenging for older people; but after all, this is Amsterdam.

Beautiful hotel in a perfect location. Close to pretty much anything you'd want to see but in a quiet spot. We were in Garden Room 5 which has its own patio/balcony - ideal for a late chill with a nightcap or catching the sun in the morning. Helpful, friendly proprietor. Can't wait to go back!

Spent four nights in the attic room. It was spotless, bright and airy. Location was very convenient and quiet. Italian restaurant a couple of doors away produced best truffle risotto I have tasted. We chose not to have breakfast in the hotel but on the last morning we were served a lovely complimentary breakfast. Bathroom facility was excellent. By the end of the stay we had worked out a method to climb the steep stairs, crab-like... And we are in our sixties. Other rooms looked more spacious, but ours was very good value for money..

Room Tip: If choosing an attic room make sure you are travelling light!

We had a fantastic stay here for a week. Our room was cleaned everyday and towels changed. The hotel is situated in a lovely spot; overlooking the canals and fairly quiet considering it's right in the heart of the city. Very good access to all local amenities and historic areas. There was tea and coffee, hairdryer and plates for snacks provided. Pleasant decor and peaceful atmosphere. The host was polite and helpful. We didn't have the breakfasts as we chose to eat at local cafe's. I would recommend Seven Bridges and definately stay there again as it's full of character and so much nicer than an ordinary hotel room. The stairs are very steep so be careful.

We stayed five nights in Garden Room 5 June 30-July 5. The room was charming , spacious and quiet. Gunther and Eric were most gracious and helpful. (Pierre was on vacation.) Breakfast was delicious and bountiful. The location of the hotel was convenient to museums, restaurants and a laundramat. The immediate neighborhood was scenic. The food at the Italian restaurant was excellent. A great experience.

We stayed four nights in room 9. The stairs are steep, but for us it was just part of the experience. The room was extremely clean and the bath was larger than we expected. The room has exposed beams and a view of the canal. The decor is cozy...we loved the leather club chair! We were able to peak at several of the other rooms and each had their own perks. However, room 9 at this hotel will be our Amsterdam 'home' when we travel back to the city.

we stayed in the seven bridges in june 2013, and absolutely loved this hotel so much so we are planning a trip back in november and hope to stay here again
pierre the host was so helpful we arrived really early and our room wasn't ready yet so he offered us an option of another room which would be ready straight away. we took this room and lucky we did it was on the ground floor which normally is not an issue but in amsterdam all the hotels have really steep stairs which would have been a bit annoying to drag our bags and ourselves up.
the hotel rooms are decorated with antique furniture which was gorgeous, the hotel is located right outside the city centre which makes it about a 5 min walk (if even that ) so its a perfect distance from the hussle and bussle but close enough if you wanna walk in
i would advise anyone who is staying her to try the train from the airport instead of a cab to save you approx €50. (the train is so easy too)
overall great trip cant' wait to go back and would reccommend the seven bridges to everyone
oh and the memory foam mattresses in every room is a lovely touch after a long day of walking the streets of amsterdam

Room Tip: when booking you can choose which room you would like to stay in so visit the website first and sele...
