“Trips to Amsterdam get better and better”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

Having previously stayed at their sister hotel - King Hotel Amsterdam - I decided to try their parkside hotel, Atlas Hotel. I was astonished as to how wonderful my stay was! Having only visited Amsterdam a few months before on a business trip, this stay was made excellent by the very helpful and friendly staff, who greeted me kindly. The location was incredbiel; a truly different side of Amsterdam. Very stylish! The art deco interior and exterior heightened the grandeur of our stay. I will definitely visit again.

Someone who loves nature and Art, Atlas is just the place to be and spend some quality time in Amsterdam. The city is very well know for a lot of attractions but not much is said about the great "green" envoirment that this lovely city has. Atlas offer a great place to relax next to all the city has to offer. We just loved Atlas and should be back in a very months.

We recently visited Amsterdam after a lapse of nearly six months as we really love the city. Stay at Atlas was our first but must say we were surprised but the care taken by the management to ensure our stay was as pleasant as possible. This is a small hotel but has a great ambiance and character. We loved every bit of the time we spend in Amsterdam and Atlas hotel, wish we had stayed longer than the 3 nights we were there for.

The only true value at this hotel is its location. Otherwise overpriced for cleanliness, staff responsiveness to fix broken cabinet door in the bathroom, lack of soundproofing, and worn down interior.

We just returned from a wonderful holiday in Amsterdam. Most of our excellent holiday was because of Atlas Hotel, this small family run hotel is an absolute gem, top one for its class.
Service, rooms, price all was perfect and the location was great next to all the attractions we wanted to visit.

We spent 2 days in hotel. Where travelling with kid, so good was that the place is really quiet, is close to nice City park, stands almost in the center, not far from Vincent Van Gog Museum. But we didn't like the breakfast, interior of rooms is weak and used.

Although the check in time is 3pm, we actually were able to check in at 7:30am. It has an elevator thankfully because the stairs, like many in Amsterdam are STEEP. There is no air conditioning but that was okay because we went in September so we didn't need it but i think in summer you would. Maybe a good hint is to request a lower floor in the summer. No window screens but that is common. I just think about bugs in the summer but I don't know what they are like there in Amsterdam. I'm in Texas, screens for me here are mandatory. The water is scalding hot VERY quickly and I didn't think about that before I stuck in my hands. The place could have been more tidy. I think that no one had used this room in a while as there was a thin layer of dust on the furniture and the carpet wasn't vacuumed. However, that was rectified the next day when we had the room had its daily cleaning. The towels are small and thin. No wash cloths or bar soap. There is a electric kettle with coffee and tea available. The breakfast is 7.50 euro. yougurt granola cheese cold cuts cereal toast etc. Nothing that says wow at but it will work. Unless you are super hungry for a hot meal.
I loved the location of this hotel. the back yard was Vondelpark for nice walks and it is a very quiet part of the city which is great because I see how many hotels in Amsterdam might be dificult to sleep at when it is night time. I have stayed in better hotels but this was nice because it wasn't super expensive AND you could cancel your reservation if you needed to which for us is very important. Right next to Jacob Oberechstraat tram stop, but a nice walk to theVan Gogh and Reijksmuseum.
