“Lovely Stay!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2013

Loved it, loved it, loved it! I loved the fact that it was a bit different and not your average hotel and we had cabins instead.

Met some fantastic people whilst we stayed here to, would definitely be back! cannot comment on the food as we missed breakfast everyday and had to eat out!!

It was my 65th birthday and unknown to me my wife booked us into this floating hotel for 3 nights. When I saw it moored up against the dockside it looked huge , because it was at least 4 levels high. The room was really clean there was a lovely big bed and plenty of hot water and heating. We found the bathroom a bit of a tight squeeze but it didn't put us off in fact we had a good laugh about it. The breakfasts were great continental or English or like us a combination of the two. The ferrys were umbelievably free to use to get to the town centre and back although watch for the return timetable. I have never written a review before about staying any where but felt I had to for this place because we enjoyed it so much. The only downside was we went in February and the weather was freezing so go when its warmer and enjoy.

Room Tip: Try to get a view facing the ferrys although we didn't spend much time looking out the window to...

My son and I went to Amsterdam for 3 nights from the UK. Did not quite know what to expect as the trip advisor comments were not great. We paid £ 400 for 3 nights BB plus flights from Bristol, I am a hotelier by trade so for that type of money was not expecting much. WOW was I suprised, everything was great, the room was clean and had a nice view of the harbour. The breakfast was freshly cooked and the coffee was really good. The bar in the evening with the pool table was great for my son. There was a ferry every 30 minutes to central station and it was for free, I just could not believe it. The barman that worked that week end was fantastic and a real asset to the company, the dutch gentlemen behind the front desk was also great. We will stay again, well done !

This was our last stop on our Topdeck tour. A boat that has been permanently moored, and has been converted into a hotel. It's pretty much what you'd expect - older decor, small rooms, a little movement (barely noticeable), and a slight smell of sea air. The botel had free wi-fi throughout, average breakfast, and was kept lovely and warm, even in the middle of winter. Getting to Amsterdam central station was via a free ferry that runs every 15 minutes at peak times, every half hour outside these times. It was a 10 minute ride, and easy to do.

Stayed from 19-22 Feb. Rooms are small but had everything we needed. We had breakfast and made our way into the centre so the room was adequate for what we needed. On one of the TV channels there is porn shown 24/7 so maybe this may make some people spend more time in the room... A ferry takes 10mins from the Botel to central station which is quite pleasant. They run every 15 mins at peak times and then every half hour. All in all we had a very pleasant stay and would return to the botel in the future

We booked this from Clever Rooms for £20 B&B so complete bargain. It you want a basic and clean room for the night with breakfast then this is for you. Comfortable bed, hot shower and very good breakfast sets you up for the day to explore the great city.

Don't be put off with the ferry trip because it is very regular and is right next to central station so a ten min journey from there.

Good value for money. Basic accommodation. Good breakfast buffet. Bit of a way out of the centre (ferry ride) but the transport is free so good for people on a budget. Check in and check out problem free - reception desk staff very helpful for an early departure arrangements. Good value for budget travellers.
