We stayed at the Nadia from 21 - 23 August. I agree with a previous comment that your heart does sink a little when you arrive outside the hotel and see the entrance sandwiched in a row of shops. My heart sank even more when we were shown to our double room which was really tiny with barely enough room for myself and my partner to move in at the same time. However, after the initial shock wore off we found the room to be more than adequate. The bathroom was small but clean and the shower was surprisingly powerful. Our room had a small balcony which overlooked the main road and canal which was very pleasant as the weather was quite warm. Although I didn't notice the noise from the trams my partner began to find them quite annoying!
The staff at the hotel were very friendly and we were given useful maps and a guide book on arrival.
The location of this hotel is perfect. We were able to walk from central station and from the hotel to Rembrandtplein, Leidseplein and the museum quarter. We didn't find it necessary to use either taxi's or trams.
I chose this hotel based on the reviews on this website, the hotels location and the fact that I wanted to stay somewhere with a bit of character and not a modern chain hotel. I would recommend this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed my stay there
