31st July 2007
We have just returned from 3 nights at the fab Nadia Hotel. Nothing I can say will do justice to the time we spent there. Apart from the steep stairs up to the hotel (and we knew about them before we left) we could find no fault.
The building was "very" much typical of traditional Amsterdam. The welcome you receive was warm and friendly with all luggage taken upstairs for you - so no carrying things up the steep stairs. As we arrived early we enjoyed a complimentary continental breakfast before heading out to explore.
By the time we got to our room later in the day our luggage was waiting for us - talk about service. The views from our room were fab and we even had a balcony looking out to the canal. Rooms were comfortable though not overly big but were kept immaculate with ALL linen including duvet cover changed daily.
The staff were all so friendly that you were made to feel at home - something you can never achieve fully in a larger commercial hotel. From answering questions to posting our holiday postcards nothing was too much trouble for them. I cannot thank them enough for making this a holiday we will never forget.
