My brother, and my husband and I stayed 3 nights at Nadia hotel during our trip to Europe and visiting Amsterdam in the first week of June 2007. It’s a lovely hotel in central location in Jordaan which is conveniently closed to most attractions. The hotel staffs are very friendly. And Osam, the hotel manager is exceptionally nice and is fun to talk to. We arrived at 9:30am and the rooms were not ready until 2pm. The hotel staffs stored our luggage until we came back in the afternoon and Osam had the luggage delivered to our rooms for us. On the day we leave, our flight out of Amsterdam was at 7am, so we had to leave the hotel very early at 4:30am, and requested a wake up call at 3:30am. Osam was there at the reception at 3:30am personally gave us a wake up call and made sure our luggage (that the staff carried down the stairs for us the night before) are ready at the front door.
The stairs are very steep, we felt like climbing a ladder, but it was actually fun to climb and that is unique about this hotel. Osam said that we got free exercise with no extra charge!
My husband and I got the Tower room at the corner on the top floor which is lovely with nice view of Wester Kerk church and Keizers canal on one side and a balcony facing Raadhuisstraat on the other side. The bathroom is very small but this is normal for most hotels in Europe. We like the large desk space by the window and a large walk-in closet (we just need to watch our head when we walk into it). If you look for a clean, friendly hotel, with reasonable price and great location, this is a place for you. We definitely will stay there again in the future.
