For a hotel stay i booked solely from reviews and photos on the internet, i'd say i outdid myself. my husband and i booked room #413 -- an extremely cozy, yet romantic double room with high ceilings, low lighting and stone balcony overlooking the busy street below. if you look at the front image of the hotel, it is the balcony room just by the "N" in the sign. since it is a corner room, it also has a pretty window overlooking westkerk cathedral and the canal. bathroom was small but updated and clean ... there was a place for everything. we didnt spend tons of time in the room however, since the hotel is located within walking distance to everything ....there is a particularly cool restaurant-cafe, "panorama," on the corner.
as for the staff, they were the friendliest that ive encountered in a long time, anywhere. the breakfast room, which is absolutely charming, especially on those dark chilly mornings in winter, was decorated for the holidays and provided a lovely starting point to every day ... thank you, nadia for a wonderful first experience in amsterdam!

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Nadia from Nov 18-20 and loved every minute of it...Osam, Ming and the rest of the staff were wonderful and Osam even called to make sure we were OK since we had arrived late..It was my friend's 54th birthday and they brought flowers to our room and when I called (at 1am) for more coffee, tea etc they brought it right to our room..Who could ask for more....What a experience it was to celebrate a birthday in Amsterdam and be lucky enough to find this great Hotel...We had a lovely room with a canal view and also a view of the church...I loved listening to the church bells..
Yes the stairs are steep and the room was on the small side but Who cares!!! You are in Amsterdam and it awaits you, get out and explore..We ate at Jennifer's across the street and they had the best chocolate waffles and devine pastries...
I am still trying to figure out when I can go back there and will definitely stay at the Nadia (room #7) it is my home away from home and maybe they will hire me!!!!!
Osam your the best and keep up the good work!!!

Its very well located! Be prepared to climb a massive and steep flight of stairs, so DONT bring wheely suitcases... only backpacks. Request a room on the first level. Very small room, very strange bathroom, very plain breakfast but for the value... the BIGGEST bargain. You can WALK everywhere in the city so don't bother with any transport passes. Make sure you have a VERY good map.

First, take a look at the hotel's website. It is beautifully composed and will give you a good insight into your stay at the Nadia. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel extremely welcome and yes, the room was small, but adequate for two of us. In fact, it was cosy, intimate and in character with the rest of the building, which is historic and should never be modernised.

I do have problems with my knees and was apprehensive about the stairs, but there is a hand rail on each wall and I managed them better than I had hoped. Just be careful as the steps are narrow. There is a small landing halfway up the staircase, which is good for an oxygen intake!

The breakfast room is one of the prettiest I have ever seen. Sadly, the breakfast itself comprised only of bread, cake, croissants and various jams. I feel some cold meat and eggs would have been a nice addition.

The room itself was decorated in dark wood paneling, with lots of shelves and a small, but very functional bathroom. It was very warm however, so we kept the window open at all times. Please be aware that trams run constantly and love to ring their bells and the church opposite chimes every 15 minutes.

The beds were very, very narrow and extremely uncomfortable. We spent each night clinging onto the mattress for fear of falling onto the floor.

Regarding cleanliness, the hotel was spotless and we were asked each day if we would like housekeeping to tidy our room.

Despite the poor beds and lack of a decent breakfast, this is a lovely hotel, with friendly staff, in a fantastic location. Amsterdam is a beautiful, friendly, relaxed and fun place to be and I would challenge anyone to visit the city and not have a good time.

For something a little different, visit De Efteling which is an amazing fairytale themed park. It is an hour train ride from Central Station, then approximately 50 minutes by bus. We went to visit the Winter Wonderland that they do for Christmas, and it was absolutely perfect. Fake snow, real bonfires, warme chocolade melk and hot waffles. Fantastic!

Nadia Hotel is so wonderful! The staff were very warm and friendly! In very good location too. The stairs are high and steep, but inside it is beautiful. I felt so at home there, and can't wait to stay there again in my next visit to Amsterdam. I got wonderful quality for the price.
