We only stayed one night, as Amsterdam was a jumping-off point for us. The directions to the hotel from the train station posted on the hotel's website were dead-on. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were greeted by a long flight of steep stairs (we expected this after reading other reviews), but someone immediately took our suitcases and heaved them up for us. We were upgraded to a larger room (even though it was just the 2 of us), and were quite pleased with it. The room was small, (again, this was expected) and we could have cared less as we had just planned on using it for sleeping, showers and re-packing. We had a room overlooking Raadhuis Straat, with 1 double bed and 1 single bed. It was in a quiet neighborhood, so sleeping wasn't a problem. The bathroom looked like it was renovated and was clean. There was a small refrigerator in the room, which was perfect for storing the grocery store items we had picked up for our train trip to Brussels. The hot water pot in the room was nice to have, as well. The staff were very helpful with any questions we had regarding the area. I had a bad headache, so I couldn't sleep part of the night. They were very accommodating when I requested some crackers to take with my medication and even gave me a couple of bottles of water for free. Breakfast was tasty, abundant and just what we wanted. Check out was quick and easy. We would definitely recommend Hotel Nadia for young couples (or singles) who just want a place to sleep at night, or for a quick nap during the day. Definitely a good deal!

Flowers in the room, view of a canal, drinks upon arrival, breakfast with a view, and don't let the stairs scare you. While the room was small, it didn't matter because we didn't spend much time in the room. Amsterdam is a beautiful city with many things to see and do.

Hotel Nadia is the perfect place to stay as long as you are not planning on spending a lot of time in your room. I have stayed in small European hotels (I like the charm and authenticity they offer opposed to cookie-cutter chain hotel rooms or ultra modern hotels that could be in any city in the world) but this one was definitely the smallest. there was enough room to fit in, but even 2 people in a double room was very tight. Luckily, we mainly use the hotel room for short rests during the day and to sleep at night and not much more. The room was clean and the bathroom seemed to have been renovated recently. There was no air-conditioning (I knew this before booking) and you might not think it would be a big deal when the temperatures were not that high, but there was also very little air flow (could not put the fan in the window) so it was uncomfortable to sleep a few of the nights we were in Amsterdam. We had a quiet room at the back of the hotel, so maybe the front rooms with a canal view would have have more air-flow; also, it is quiet in the neighborhood at night, so I wouldn't worry about asking for a quiet room - go for a canal view of street view room. The staff was very friendly and helpful in every way. The breakfast was very good and plenty. There are a handful of shops/restaurants and internet place nearby, although no internet access/use of a computer is available in the hotel. Overall we had a lovely stay and the room was fair according to the price, but I would probably not re-book here due to the heat factor. I play hard on vacation, so I need my rest at night.

Excellent service, very affordable pricing and fantastic location (close enough to be in the action, yet far enough away to rest easily without the chaos). The Nadia was our home away from home for 3 nights. I felt perfectly at ease and completely safe.

The staff went above and beyond the call of duty to attend to our every need...which were many (cork screws, cough drops, directions, weather info etc...). The breakfast was delightfully European: Cheese, croissants, rolls, butters jams, EXCELLENT COFFEE. My only critique is the very small "teaser" size coffee cups:) If you want an American-size cup of Java in the morning, you may want to bring your own mug.

The bed was soft and comfy, adequately large to suit two full-sized adults plus a toddler. Our room was the best! A tiny jewel box on the top floor, complete with balcony and turret! The custom light fixtures cast a lovely warmth to the room and the windows were VERY large. What it lacked in square footage, it more than made up for in ambiance and character.

We spent many hours enjoying the views and we never had to wonder what time it was as the glorious church next door had a clock on the tower that told the hour! I will return to the Nadia next time I come to visit Amsterdam and you should also. Highly recommended!

I had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at Hotel Nadia. Osam, the manager, was always warm, composed and hospitable, and had his staff on the same page!
My room was more than adequate, with lots of storage space, was creatively designed, and had plenty of hot water for showering. Breakfast (which was included) was bountiful and delicious. I can easily go back just for their nicely brewed coffee!
Situated beside Keizersgracht, diagonally across from the beautiful Westerkerk (Western Church), Anne Frank house, a fresh herring stall and a canal bus stop, Hotel Nadia offers a great deal of convenience. Its regal architecture reflects heritage and charm.
Two thumbs up!
