“above and beyond hospitality”

Fabulous hotel. The host and staff were truly phenomenal, they carried our bags in and out (up many steep staircases), got us coffee and tea upon arrival, it was like we were old friends and they were welcoming us into their home with beautiful warmth. We had reserved a standard room and they actually gave us their penthouse suite instead, they said "enjoy and welcome to amsterdam~" There were even flowers waiting in the room for us. This hotel includes a nice European breakfast bar with croissants, cheese, yogurt, fruit, bread..... and of course coffee and teas. It's in a great location, a few blocks away from the red light district, so it's quiet and quaint, right near the Anne Frank house, which is a really rad area of town to walk around and discover all that historic Amsterdam has to offer. We arrived with a car and they coordinated the best price valet service for us. They also helped us decide what to see and do, as we didn't have too much time there. The host's recommendations were wonderful.

I've spent the last month travelling around in Europe and hands down, the best hotel I stayed at was Hotel Nadia. The staff is incredibly kind, helpful, and always willing to go out of their way to make sure that your stay is comfortable. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are very quaint. Free breakfast is available and coffee is brewed fresh all day long. Free wifi is also available throughout the hotel. The stairs are a little scary at first, but the staff is more than happy to carry ALL of your luggage to your room for you. Loved this hotel and wish more could be like it!!

Two flights of very very steep stairs greeted us-not to worry we were very fit at the end of our week.!!.Cheerful staff whisked our luggage up to our rooms. Our first room was tiny "-not enough room to swing a cat"was the phrase that came to mind!-
the hotelier changed our room for us as we were staying for one week-much better. We picked this hotel because of it's central location and because it was one of the very few hotels in Amsterdam that included breakfast in it's overal nightly cost. The breakfast room was small but coped very well-the quality of the breakfast was fine with (for a change in our experience) good quality coffee and set one up well for the day.The hotel owner and reception staff were very friendly and helpful-all spoke English like a native "Brits"; as did all Dutch people it seemed. Our room had TV -safe-fridge-tea/coffee faclities and a constant supply of piping hot water.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a weekend and we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is very well run and the warmth of the service was fantastic. The rooms are typical European-style, which means a bit small, and sometimes unusually designed...but that is part of the design. We had a great view of the canal. We would definitely go back here.

Great location -- walking distance to center but not in the noisiest section. However, our room was tiny; it was more like being onboard a ship than being in a hotel. We are two average adults with two medium suitcases and one small suitcases, and we had to move to an upgraded room (given to us without cost, which was nice) to fit. Although this did not bother us too much, I am surprised the tiny room size was not mentioned in other reviews.

Also, it does bear mentioning that anyone who has trouble walking or climbing stairs should not assume hotels in Europe are accessible.
