We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and thought it was great. The staff were excellent and very helpful. The steep stairs up to reception, and the size of the room didn't come as too much of a shock thanks to this review site. We would recommend a room with a balcony to relax on and take in the ambience of Amsterdam. The location is very central and handy for everything you will want to do. We are already planning our next trip.

The Nadia is a wonderful little hotel. We were horrified at the first sight of the staircase, but staff immediately appeared to carry our suitcases for us, then gave us free drinks to help us recover from the climb. The people were extremely friendly and helpful, the location is superb - a few blocks from the city centre, but far enough away from it to be peaceful - and we loved the city. Hoping to stay there again in the near future.

Stayed here four nights, Sept. 3-6, 2004. Good location next to the Westerkerk. First thing you will notice is the stairs, very steep, quite a climb. Second thing you will likely notice is how friendly the staff is (all of those that I encountered) and I was greeted with a welcome drink. Postage stamp size single room, very clean. Shower was really just a corner of the bathroom with a curtain but adequately functional. Apparatus to make coffee or tea in the room as well as a safe. Breakfast included in price of the room, various breads, cheese, coffee and juices. Booked a single room for 50 euros for my sister who was to arrive from Florida, but a hurricane prevented her departure from Miami. I didn’t know until way past the cancellation deadline, but the hotel staff felt bad and didn’t charge me for her room. That was nice of them. If you don’t mind a small room it is a good choice for the budget traveler and the staff will make you feel welcome.

After a long trip, what more you need than poeple smile to you and help you with all what you need!

I spent a week in Amsterdam attending a conference. because I don't know teh cisty, I was afraid where I will stay and how I will manage myself. But, it was a good choice and poeple are extermly helpful. I remember, I asked the manager about something related to my mobile and he sent one of his employees with me to the shop! They had been so helpful and friendly.

The room was not so big, but it is suitable with the price they have. It is a cool place to stay in.

I think I should visit Amsterdam one more day and stay in Nadia.
