My husband and I stayed at the Nadia Hotel for 4 days prior to our African Safari in Tanzania and 2 days on our return, this past September, 2008.
The staff at the hotel is very friendly, caring and helpful , especially Michelle and Tess. Upon our arrival we were surprised to have a lovely welcome vase of flowers in our room! On our return visit, a "welcome back home" vase of flowers was there to greet us. Free bottled water was available whenever it was needed.
This hotel is a gem with lovely rooms canalside.
I highly recommend Nadia Hotel and know your stay will be very pleasant.

I just returned from a stay at hotel nadia. it was a great stay,the staff was helpful and friendly from start to finish, they offered complimentary drinks upon arrival. excellent location,15 minute walk from train station, 5 minute walk to Ann Franks house,5 minute to Dam Square. rooms are on the small side but very clean. I would definitelty recommend this hotel

It was our first time to Amsterdam and we definately picked a perfect hotel! It was very central, a close walk to everywhere, but still very quiet. We had a corner room on the top floor, so we could see over the river and the church in front of Anne Frank's house. The staff at the hotel were very friendly, polite and helpful. They offered us refreshments from the fridge almost every time we came through. As well, they remembered which room we were staying in and had our key ready by the time we got to the office. They also let us use their own computer to checkin for our flight home.
The breakfast was ok, the room was quite crowded but had a nice view. The room was quite large and very unique. We loved it from the minute we walked in. One of the most charming hotels we've stayed in.
The only complaint I have is how uncomfortable the beds are. For that price, I truly believe the hotel should upgrade the beds. Then it will easily be a 4* stay.
The stairs were not a problem for us, even after walking around Amsterdam all day.
All in all, it was a wonderful stay and we will definately consider staying there again. Amsterdam was an amazing city too and we can't wait to get back!

The hotel has a very central location, which is very convenient for touring around the city. The staff is very helpful and polite. However, the rooms and the bathroom are really small and the towels and the bath curtain surely need to be changed with new ones. For the price we paid (over 100 euro per night), we surely expected more. Also, if you are disabled or elderly person, or with kids, this hotel is not for you because the stairs are very tough and there is no lift. Anyway, given the overpriced hotels in Amsterdam and the overall impression from previous visitors' remarks about the tininess of most hotels there, this one can do a job for a night or two.
