4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2013

me and my partner stayed here for christmas 2013 and we had very comfortable stay when we arrived we got a free welcome drink which was fantastic after the walk we had from the train station,i think the stairs on the way up to the reception will put off a lot of people but its worth the climb every time to get a nice welcome for the staff, when i needed an extra pillow they brought it to the door within 5 mins and when we had no hot water we were offered to use a shower room down stairs while they tried to fix the problem all in all i would come back and stay here again without hesitation...

Hotel Nadia was clean, comfortable, well run, handy to transit, restaurants and many sights were within walking distance. Our room was on the first floor. It was small but had a balcony overlooking the street which we enjoyed. The breakfast was more than adequate, making our stay very affordable. The steps leading up to the lobby might be a problem for some but staff were right there to handle luggage both coming and going. We were well looked after and would choose to stay at this family run Hotel if we visit Amsterdam again.

Room Tip: There are rooms overlooking the canal and rooms with a balcony. We enjoyed having a drink on the bal...

We were travelling with our older son and got the larger room in the corner of the upper level. What a great view! So close to the Dam square and some nice bars and restaurants only a small walk away. The old canal house is restored nicely and we have told all our friends to stay here!
Thanks for the hospitality!

Our first visit to Amsterdam (I hadn't been since 1970). We read the reviews on the Nadia Hotel and thought it would be a lovely place to stay. It certainly was. Lovely welcoming, cosy, good location, breakfast was ideal, trams ran past the door,Christmas decorations were lovely and the Morrocan style lamps everywhere were beautiful. Lots of cafes in the area. Turkish cafe with falafels, soup delicious and good value.: just out of hotel and up to left. Theatre further on was entertaining. Good to get an IAmsterdam pass but not essential as you could walk around from Nadia and soak up the magical feeling of Amsterdam. Lots of wee brown coffee shops lovely soup, eggs on bread and apple pie. Lovely old canal houses and hundreds of bikes zipping about. Trams smooth modern and all trams seem to return to Amsterdam Central Station. Night service but we never needed this. Need to organise your visits to museums etc to get best out of your stay. However just a lovely place to be and cosy welcoming hotel to return to.

Room Tip: Contact hotel if you need a deluxe room. We just had a cosy, compact basic one with a balcony. We fa...

Would agree with other reviewers. The hotel was extremely individual and quirky. Rooms are compact but clean and have all you need including tea /coffee making facilities. We had a room overlooking the Keizersgracht which was very atmospheric. Special touches such as fresh flowers in room. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh. Staff friendly, cheery and helpful. Definitely recommend Nadia Hotel for value for money and central position in Amsterdam, would certainly go back again.
