Could not praise Nadia more - we had a wonderful stay.
Let's get the steep stairs/small rooms stuff out of the way first! If you're not up to steep stairs (and I mean steep) then forget it, and if you are looking for the luxury of wide open spaces, this is not for you - look somewhere else.
That stuff aside, you will do well if you find a better value-for-money hotel in Amsterdam.
The staff are friendly and helpful, exceptionally so, and I mean all of them. The rooms are clean and are serviced regularly, shower excellent, fridge and safe provided in the cost, very secure and, inspite of the size, comfortable.
The breakfast room is sweet and attractive, with a little balcony overlooking the street and canal and across to the Westerkerk. The breakfast is, as you would expect, continental; croissants, rolls, various breads, cake, butter, jams, fruit juice, coffee, etc. More than adequate for us, but if you want more, there's is little pancake cafe next to Nadia.
And if you have problems the hotel staff can't do enough to help!!
I lost my wallet in the city, the support and advice of the staff and their practical help was wonderful (thank you again Nadia). I got it back by the way, a street musician handed it in to a police station - would that happen in Norwich??
So, that's my 'penneth', if you decide to give it a go I don't think you will be disappointed.
