We stayed here in October 2002.The room we were given was on the top floor, we needed oxygen by the time we'd got up there! The double room we were given was dreadful, if one of us wanted to get in or out of the bathroom door, the other had to sit on the bed to make way. There was no light shade on the main light, the shower was a mere trickle and it was just generally dingy.Would rather stay at home than go back to the Nadia!

Stayed two nights with husband and daughter, location was fantastic - you are in the centre of it all. We were aware of the steps as it was highlited before booking but it made the hotel even more like a typical 'Amsterdam' house. For what you pay, the rooms were as expected. As for the staff, well they were EXCEPTIONAL!!! We even got invited to a small family gathering as it was the owners birthday party which included a cake to be shared out. Our daughter thought it was the best thing ever!! If you want genuine hospitality then definitely stay here.
Without a doubt we shall return on our next trip. The only downside for us was the noisy traffic throughout the night, but then we did book a budget room and our room was overlooking the main street.

I've just got back from a lovely weekend in Amsterdam. We stayed at the Nadia Hotel and were very pleasantly suprised. The first thing you see when you open the door is a massive steep staircase. Immediately, the receptionist shouted down for us to leave our luggage at the bottom and someone would bring it up for us. We weren't due to check in until 1pm (we arrived about 9.30am), but they were so welcoming and invited us to help ourselves to breakfast in the dining area. The staff were lovely and friendly and I found the whole experience enjoyable.The hotel is perfectly located next to the westerkerk (you can hear the bells chime) just round the corner fromt he Anne Frank House (well worth a visit). We found the location to be fairly central to all parts of the city.Although the room was small, it was clean and comfortable.All in all, I would highly recommend this hotel.

I went with 3 of my friends, we found that the staff were really helpful and friendly. The stairs up to reception were a little steap but not really a problem and the toilet/shower was a little cramped but everything else was really good. Breakfast from about 7.30am to 10.30am allows you plenty of time to get something to eat. The location of the hotel is excellent, right by the center of amsterdam and just 10 minutes walk to most places!! For what you pay, it really was good. The rooms are nice, they have a fridge, t.v with cable and a safe. I will definetly go back to the hotel when i go back to amsterdam.
