“A true luxury jewel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW via mobile

Having just stayed at the Hassler in Rome, the De L'Europe really feels a "Leading Hotel of the world". Not only because it really delivers on the Leaders Club benefits of Leading Hotels of the world, it really is a well-kept jewel in the centre of town with a beautiful view of one of the Grachten. Service is exemplary and authentic. Nothing feels rehearsed. Unlike the Hassler, the hotel understands how to maintain rooms and keep them up-to-date without loosing the special touch. I was upgraded to a Junior Suite (224) with great views, all set in a special Delft blue. The beds are fantastic and the hotel has the most amazing, huge cushions that make reading in bed a delight. Always try and get a room facing the water.

We stayed here for a wonderful three nights. The hotel is better than it even looks. The view of the canal from our room was like a painting and the service and staff are impeccable. Quiet, comfortable room we slept very well. The restaurant is famous but we were seeing friends and didn't get the chance to try it. Next time.. Great location for getting around. They do it all so well, it would be difficult to return to Amsterdam and stay anywhere else. We will be coming back for the January sales. Fantastic.

Room Tip: The canal views are amazing. Worth paying more for.

If you are new to Amsterdam, this is a perfect place to stay. We wanted a relaxing and romantic home before we boarded a River Cruise down the Rhine and Danube. We found it here in abundance. The hotel just went through a multi-milion dollar renovation and it shows. Everywhere you look you'll find wonderful appointments and beautiful artwork and classy furniture. The desk is manned by professionals who go out of their way to assist with directions and recommendations. By all means, take advantage of the internal restaurants. The food is delicious and the service exquisite. Our room deal came with gratis breakfast. This amenity seems to be available in many offers. Take advantage of it if you can. Breakfast is multi-faceted and delicious. Try to have at least one lunch in the outside space overlooking the Canal. The experience is absolutely worth it. Also, the Skins Spa is located downstairs and is a wonderful experience. There is a small heated pool, with massage jets and all kinds of sauna and inhalation rooms that are gratis with a massage. The therapists are very talented and personable. All in all this was the perfect spot for us and we can recommend it highly. If you call the hotel in advance they will arrange for an airport pick up at an additional cost. Important-please watch out for the bicycle traffic coming from all directions right outside the hotel. We learned there are more bicycles then citizens in Amsterdam. That's what happens when fuel is Six dollars per gallon.

Room Tip: If you are staying in a suite, call to make sure your room has a television is not just directed to...

Attractive rooms, very good food from their luxury restaurant to their brasserie. Service is also exceptional. Some rooms have a very good canal view but all the rooms have first class linen and bathrooms.

i cannot imagine a better hotel in Amsterdam than the De L'Europe - suites are fantastically large and well appointed, views of the canals are amazing, and the staff are probably the best we encountered in an entire trip to Europe. The Michelin star restaurant was also very very good.

This hotel is worth every penny and especially so to get a room with a view. If we return to Amsterdam then we wouldn't even consider another hotel - we enjoyed our stay that much.

Room Tip: definitely pay extra for a great view

We went high end with this choice, but it even exceeded those expectations. This hotel is in the centre of what is happening in Amsterdam. We walked everywhere. Lots of shopping, museums, canal tours, and restaurants around the hotel. The room we had in the hotel was a superior room and it was totally upgraded. It is rare I sleep solidly in a hotel, but I did in this one all 3 nights. The rooms, while not huge, were totally updated. The staff in the hotel were fantastic. We did the included breakfast breakfast option, and that was fantastic. If I end up back in Amsterdam, I would have a hard time staying anywhere else.

Loved this hotel in heart of Amsterdam. Service was so friendly and helpful..truly 6 star.
Rooms were impeccable and we enjoyed a view out to the square and flower market. Nespresso machines in the rooms were fabulous.
As for the indoor pool. WOW. view to the canal outside made me feel as if I was swimming in it!!
If you want to live it up this is the place to do it.
