I stayed here Feb. 18-21, 2005 and loved it. They were kind enough to allow me an early check-in, and the breakfast they serve (included!) was very yummy, especially when compared to hotel breakfasts i sampled in Paris/London later in my trip.

This place was very clean, and although my room was small, i loved it. it had a nice view of the courtyard garden, and clean and modern bathroom and all the necessities.

I got a great rate on Expedia.com, and would most definitely stay at this wonderful hotel again.

It is about a mile walk from centraal station, hotel piet hein is located in a lovely and quiet neighborhood near vondel park. tram stops are very close, as are shopping.

Because of unexpected last minute trip changes, we turned up two days before we'd reserved our room. We were lucky and there was a cancellation, so we got the only empty room. The staff was friendly and helpful, even showing us how to trim the tulips we purchased at the nearby Flower Market. The location is excellent. The Rijks Museum and the Concert Hall are literally around the corner. We walked everywhere in the Center, and there are nearby tram stops so that we effortlessly kept appointments in the suburbs. The room was simple , comfortable, very clean, with a new, nicely appointed bathroom. We're already looking forward to going back.
