Literally around the corner from both the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh museum, the hotel is extremely convenient if they are the focal point of your visit to Amsterdam. Nearby are also several canal cruise companies, the Heineken Experience and the Hard Rock Cafe.

We found the hotel comfortable and clean, though not luxurious or particularly romantically appointed. It had a good breakfast, with a wide enough selection to keep the kids happy. The staff were very helpful and friendly at all times.

To get there from the airport, take the 197 bus to the Rijksmuseum stop and walk. Its about 4-5 minutes on flat streets. If this is your first walk in Amsterdam, watch out for bicycles.

I stayed here for a night and thought that for the money it was a good choice. It is away from the the noise of the center of the city, and near the park and museums. Small rooms, but plenty of space for two people and luggage. Front desk staff were helpful and relaxed. The breakfast was good and the coffee strong. Will stay here again for sure.

Visit Amsterdam every year in November. Have stayed in some terrible places. This hotel is definitely the best I have stayed in at a reasonable cost. It is clean and comfortable with friendly staff. I shall certainly be booking for next year.

This was a beautiful little boutique hotel in a perfect location, close to transit, museums and art galleries.

The lobby was nice and service was top notch, but my, was the room small. Maybe it was because we secured the hotel through Hotwire and they gave us the discount room, but it was teeny. The bed was literally wall to wall. The room had everything a standard hotel room should contain, bed, tv, desk and private bathroom, but little excess space. That said, for the price during the high season in Amsterdam, we can't really complain. It was cheaper than a private room at the hostel down the street.

When we return to Amsterdam, I'll definitely be looking up this place again!

Three of us were staying and opted for a triple room. We left it quite last minute and this hotel was the cheapest we could find for a 2 night stay that also seemed nice. (We didn't want to stay in a hostel)

The hotel is in quite an upmarket area with nice shops in the adjacent streets. The entrance and foyer of the hotel is very pleasant and was nicely decorated for Christmas. The reception staff checked us in quickly and were friendly enough.

We were in a room in the basement but still had a large window. We didn't notice any damp like other reviews have mentioned. It was pretty small with three beds single beds squeezed in but it was adequate for us, and as three girls we still all managed to get ready together without any stress or hassle (there were enough mirrors and sockets for the three of us thankfully ;) )

It would've been nice to have a kettle and tea and coffee making facilities in the room, though on the last day we noticed in the room card you could request this from reception but we didn't bother by this point. Lots of nice cafes within walking distance. Good for a short trip.

This hotel lacks any real 'unique' selling point. Apart from that, the hotel was great! Rooms were a good size, bathroom was nice, hotel clerk seemed attentive if not a little snobby, like all receptionists should be.

Just had nothing to make it last in my memory, but me and the girlfriend had a good two-night stay here and would recommend it to people wanting to visit Amsterdam, not right in the city but not miles away.
