I stayed here for two nights with my partner.
The staff were very welcoming and friendly and the rooms were very clean.
Personally I like minimalist and modern so it was right up my street - Wouldn't suit person/s looking for a more old fashioned characterful hotel but I love the clinical thing.

The only down fall was the location, it is further out of Amsterdam than it seems. You have to use public transport.

If you are looking for a clean, quiet, modern, hotel that is conveniently located near the train I highly recommend Casa 400. I stayed there while working a trade show at RAI. It is a 3 minute walk from the hotel to the Amstel Station and then it is 3 stops to RAI...making it at most a 15 minute commute. There were no fears of not getting on a trolley or bus because it is full and having to wait for the next one as you might find if you are in some of the more interesting smaller neighborhoods not on the train line.

Casa 400 does not sit within walking distance of a large concentration of quirky restaurants, pubs, museums or other tourist stuff. It is all accessible by the train, taxi...never more than a 3 minute wait when called by the front desk... or if you want, bicycle... which the hotel will happily rent you. Instead this is much more of a business persons hotel. There is free wi-fi all over the hotel, a rather large computer/business center in the lobby, and rooms have plenty of desk space with accessible power outlets (my one complaint is there are no built in USB ports which many modern hotels are now doing at desk areas to make recharging foreigner's phones simple and not requiring a European power adapter).

By American standards the rooms are a little small but beds are comfortable. The bathroom was clean and there was plenty of hot water. As a business traveler I would have liked an in-room iron rather than needing to request one. Closet space was large and the in room safe was big enough to hold my 15" mac book pro.

As for food I only had the breakfast buffet. It was exactly what I expected...some cheese, some meats, some vegetables, yogurt, cereal, fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage on a warmer and a selection of breads. It wasn't like the international buffets you get in the Western Hotels in Asia. It was a little expensive for what you received if you did not have the buffet included in your room price, however there was no real alternative within a 5 minute walk of the hotel unless you wanted fast food at the train station.

Recently stayed here whilst attending a 5 day training event. The hotel is modern, clean and nothing seemed to be a problem. Arrived on the Sunday evening to be told no reservation had been made and that the hotel was full from the Wednesday that week!.. The guy behind the desk went out of his way to ensure a room could be found without any issue. Excellent customer service not something you always find whilst travelling on business. The room was large and clean and no complaints here regarding the beds. Breakfast was fine with ample selection of colds an hots. The business facilities were found to be excellent with a large break out area including refreshments and snacks. The hotel is a little out of the centre but this is certainly not an issue with Amstel metro station just a stone throw away. The metro takes you direct into the centre and takes 10minutes if that. Overall very satisfied with the Cassa 400 and will be certainly returning in the future both for business and pleasure. Would also recommend a couple of local restaurants Dauphine and Libero, both with 10 minutes walk and well worth a visit

Business Hotel, ideal for meetings and events. Great location also for weekend travellers.Easily accessible from Schipol airport and within walking distance from metro station or only 30minutes walk from the main attractions.

Stayed at this hotel as part of a conference taking place. Comfortable rooms and good bar and restaurant.
I found the reception staff were very helpful but the bar and restuarant staff could be more accommodating and friendly.
Breakfast and lunch were ok, we had lunch as part of the conference and the offering was almost exactly the same as breakfast.
As other said, it's a bit far from the city centre and we took taxis which the reception can order and arrives within 5 minutes.
The design of the hotel is fantastic and the free wifi was a bonus.

Nice business hotel outside of the centre of Amsterdam. Clean, modern and comfortable. I was in a conference that was run at the hotel for a couple of days, so it was very convenient in that respect. A bit far from the city centre , we took taxis to go to several restaurants for dinner during our stay.
Staff was helpful and nice. Adequately priced considering we booked very late. I would have scored it 5* if it had been closer to the centre.
