“Very good budget hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2014

We stayed in hotel for four days and we were satisfied with everything: good location near tram, metro, restaurants and supermarket; professional staff; clean rooms with comfortable beds; free Wi-Fi; fresh and tasty breakfast.
Only objection is no toilet brush in bathroom.

Great 5 minute walk to centre location. Upon arrival staff were attentive and helpful. Rooms are clean and modern. The bed was soft and comfortable. Common areas are also clean and modern with a welcoming bar in reception. I would recommend this hotel and I will stay here again.

We used this hotel for a 3 night stay, and found it to be clean, comfortable and within easy reach of all of the central Amsterdam attractions. The rooms are clean, comfortable, air conditioned (or at least ours was) and seem secure, with a small safe as well. The rooms are a reasonable size, if functional - there is a small desk, and the wordrobe is a rail for hangers and some shelves. The shower room is good - a decent sized shower and basin, but it is still compact. The rooms have free wifi, and the signal is good, as is the speed of the connection.
There are no tea / coffee facilities in the basic rooms - be aware - but this is not likely to be a big issue for most. Did not try the restaurant, but the bar is OK - a bit pricey perhaps, but expected. There is a decent supermarket about 3 ins away, and the nearest tram stop is a couple of mins further, which takes you to Dam, and the central station (line 9). The area around the hotel feels quite safe, but is a little shabby perhaps; but certainly no worse than other places.
Overall this is a good value place to stay with very friendly staff, who are happy to help. Also - checkout time is noon - useful, and they will hang on to baggage for you if you ask.

Room Tip: Upgrades cost 15 euro's / night - if you want tea / coffee etc, may be worth the money - persona...

Very modern hotel and very affordable.
I stayed here as I was on a hen doo in Amsterdam, it's very close to all amenities and a 10 min walk to the train station.
Staff all very friendly, food was lovely and rooms very clean and comfy. I would stay here again without a doubt.

On a 3 day visit to the dam with some friends and found this to be a great hotel, close to all the sights and with really polite and friendly staff. Rooms are a tad small, especially the triples. Try the little cafe run by a lovely oriental couple. Out the hotel. Turn left and it's around 100 yards on the left. Bottles of Heineken are €2.20 as opposed to around €7 in the hotel. Thanks ibis for a good stay!!
