First impressions, great service from front of house staff, very welcoming! Upon entering the room I was happy with the room, it was a great size, everything looked modern and well kept. The only issue with the room we were given was the view, as it was literally the worst thing ive ever seen, may aswell have not been a window at all. The air-con was dripping when we arrived, however, once the staff were told, it was dealt with quickly and efficiently! I enjoyed the stay at this hotel, it was right near the rembrandt square, which we found to be one of the best locations for eating! Everything else was in walking distance; couldn't have found a better location to be honest! We are currently having issues with a deposit repayment and would urge people to pay the deposit in cash! The hotel have been contacted but still no reply regarding this matter! Generally, a good stay, only thing that really let it down was the view from the window, it was absolutely awful. However, for people like us who aren't looking to spend a long time in the room, this isn't an issue at all really! Just keep the curtains shut at all times!

Room Tip: Anywhere but the bottom floor!

Had a great time in the Hotel the staff are very pleasant and all the attractions are nearby. doorstep is the Rembrandt Sq. just wasn't happy about the room i was given this was a quiet room away which is good but the fact the room has been vacant for sometime and there was so much dust and the windows open slightly so my room was so hot.

Room Tip: make sure you are prepared to complain on the off set as once you settle there a hour or a night. so...

Though exceedingly well situated this Hotel lacks any semblance of quality or service.
The staff are helpful and are exceedingly efficient at taking your credit card details.
The rooms are small by any standard.
The bathroom is a testament to bijou design.
. The architect must of must of excelled in micro coffin design before moving on to bathrooms .
I had more leg room in my mothers womb.
The room was nicely decorated and appointed but did look onto a dreary and noisy if you opened the window or kept it closed dark internal courtyard .
The TV kept switching off.
I complained 2 days running and was ignored
Unfortunately Room was prepaid otherwise I would of been up for frank exchange of opinion with management .
On the other hand Amsterdam was fantastic, weather was great and had a great time.
Next time will find a different hostelry

There are so many things wrong with this hotel. There are 2 good things though-location and the concierges are very nice. BUT, the lobby is dirty and the chairs are worn, there is mold in the shower, they only give you enough towels for one person even in a double room, the wall paper
is torn, the doors are badly scratched, the carpet is dirty, there is an odd smell in the hallway. When we asked the desk to change a big bill into smaller ones we were told they are not a bank.

Room Tip: Ask for room in newer section but even they need refreshing.

Walking through the lobby you would think you are in a fairly good quality hotel, the décor is nice and modern. That's where the pleasantries end. Checking in, we were told that although the room I had booked and paid for 3 months in advance was for a double bed, they had no more available so we would have to have 2 single beds pushed together. Although this is not unusual in European hotels, this was the first time we had had single duvets too.The receptionist's attitude was slightly rude and dismissive. The room upon first appearance also seemed quite adequate, if a little small. The beds were comfy, but the room was noisy and the glass shower between the toilet and the bed are not good if you like to poo without an audience. I was injured in the shower by a falling soap dispenser (which stated that the soap inside was "Rituals" Brand, which it was not, it was some no name brand - all of the soap dispensers in the bathroom were like this), and the fronts kept falling off them because the soap they put inside didn't fit. Same thing with the sanitary bag dispensers, everything you touched fell off the walls. Couple this with the fact that if you even PICK UP an item from the mini bar it automatically adds it to your bill, WHETHER YOU PUT IT BACK OR NOT!!! They have everything on scales so it can calculate if you move something and charge you for it. We did not read this until after we picked up the price list to see how much something was. I queued twice at reception to notify them of my injury from the shower, but gave up waiting both times. Was not impressed with this hotel. The only good thing was the location. And the security - anyone using the lift requires a room key to get in from the lobby.

great central location but the floor was like walking on a really hard loofa. There was no underlay on a very rough "carpet". The bathroom was renovated but had a couple of issues. If you leaned back on the toilet, the lid pushed the flusher and it flushed. The magnifying mirror was in the wrong location . You had to almost get into the sink to use it. None of the usual shampoo etc was included. The concierge service was excellent.

An awful experience. The staff forgot to deliver breakfast to the room twice stating they "were having a busy time", forgot to deliver paid for laundry moaning again they were busy when I chased for it. Staff "tutted" when I complained too, nice. The manager was "too busy" to even attend reception when tried to complain twice. Great location, awful staff and service, go elsewhere.
