“Good place to stay in Amsterdam”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2012

We have booked in for two nights, we were very early having just disembarked from our river cruise but check-in staff were friendly and quickly arranged to store our bags whilst we went off exploring. The room was ready at 12 noon when we returned as promised. The room is large and comfortable, we were pleased to see the coffee & tea making facilities supplied but disappointed this morning to discover only one teabag of each flavour and no milk! We like our cup of English Breakfast in the morning :-(. I know we could ring down for another but doesn't seem worth it for one teabag. A small thing I know but it is those little touches that make the stay perfect. The hotel is very well located, right in the heart of things but still very quiet. A good choice if staying in Amsterdam and we would recommend this hotel.

Great room and very helpful staff. The room was large, the beds very comfortable and the amenities in the room all worked. Longer walk from the main station than expected but worth it once we got there. Fairly quiet street by Amsterdam standards too. Highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed at the Radisson Blu whilst in Amsterdam for a long weekend. The hotel was easy to find and in a great location! It is easily walk able from the station and is really near all the main sights.

The room was clean, spacious and comfortable and the people on the front desk were very helpful and friendly. They even stocked spare power adaptors and toothbrushes!

The wifi was great and completely free to use. I took my iPad and was able to get on the Internet very quickly and easily.

There's a lovely bar in the hotel lobby although it is quite expensive.

All in all we had a great stay at the Radisson Blu and would definitely stay there again if we go back to Amsterdam

I liked this hotel. It's in a great location, within easy walking distance of two main squares and just around the corner from the canals. For a large hotel, it also has a bit of character to it. Staff were friendly and helpful. I was offered the choice of a smaller room on a lower floor or a large room on the top floor when I checked in. I took the large one and it was nice - comfortable bed, good bathroom. Good room service menu with a decent range of choices even for vegetarians, and nice food. Quirky touches, like a window box of imitation tulips! I stayed for two nights on business and couldn't fault anything.

Very nice hotel. Comfortable bed and a nice work area. The bar is very nice and lively and serves good food. The burger is very good and quite popular. Turn right out the door and you are 2 blocks from the red light district, turn left and you are a short walk to the shopping district and many other wonderful attractions. The museum district a 15 min walk as is the central station. For the price you get a nice quality hotel that is clean, spacious, and has nice extras.

Stayed 4 nights at end of May. Stayed in 525 a suite room. Great room. Great reception staff. Great barman in pastorie bar (bar prices bit expensive though) breakfast was ok. Booking deal included breakfast and free mini bar in room. Had couple of drinks from mini bar on first night - it was free!!! Anyway next day bar wasn't replenished fully ( beer and sodas were - spirits were not) rang 1 call reception who said they would be replaced later - didn't happen. Rang again and staff apologised and said they would sort it. again didn't happen - only replenished the beer and soda. No big deal but mentioned on checkout and they credited me - so no problems really. ( maybe wrong but I think the cleaner / staff member responsible for drinks in the minibar has a nice little scam going....????? - or am I being cynical?.)
Would not let it stop me staying here again. Overall a good stay

Have now stayed here 3 times. Many central Amsterdam hotels seem to suffer from small, odd shaped rooms due to being fitted into the traditional buildings. The Radisson retains traditional charm and a great welcoming atrium and has great "normal" sized rooms, clean bathrooms, flat screen TV's and all the things that make a work trip easier and pleasant. I love staying here. Great staff and room service food very good too.
