“Great Hotel - Fantastic Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2012

Stayed here on a roadshow in September 2011 for a weekend. Hotel's location was perfect, close enough to the train station by a short taxi ride and a quick walk from the centre of the canals and restaurant hub of Amsterdam.

Rooms were large and very well appointed. Beds very comfortable. The welcome sweets were also a nice touch.

Staff were all very friendly breakfast could get very busy so was best to go early or order room service, especially if tour groups are in house. Conference rooms were located in an adjacent building but very accessible. Bar staff were amazing - espeically when we were still hungry and the kitchen had closed, the cheese and mustard was amazing, am now addicted.

A great hotel to stay in for both business and leisure trips. Hope to stay again whenever I am next in Amsterdam.

Chose it from here on the recommendation of location and we were not disappointed. At first we were given a room with a window overlooking the atrium, so we asked for a change and moved to room 616 which we were more than happy with and thought it better then the business class room we could have upgraded to. It only had roof top views but was lovely and quiet and we were able to sleep with the aircon off and windows open. Really comfortable beds, we asked for extra pillows and duvet and they arrived within minutes. Very happy with the staff atttitude. We didn't eat in the hotel but I am sure it was ok. You can walk almost anywhere in the city from the hotel and I would certainly return here on our next time in Amsterdam (which we loved).

Hotel is very centrally located in a quiet area, just off all the hustle and bustle and yet within easy reach. Spent 2 nights over a weekend and stayed in a Superior room which was very spacious, tidy and well equipped with modern furniture. Clean and neat bathroom. Very good breakfast and even better it was included in price of room. Booked a double room and only realised that it was twin-bedded instead of a double bed when we went to sleep on the first night, so did not bother to complain as each bed was big enough and comfortable. We were given a room on the front of hotel as requested at time of booking. No street noise at all.

Room Tip: We had a room on the front of hotel as requested at time of booking. No street noise at all.

My boyfriend and I stayed in a business class room for 3 nights. The room had been recently renovated and done to a high standard. Lovely large windows, loved the underfloor heating in the bathroom. We drank in the bar a few times, bottle of wine is 24 euros, in line with Amsterdam prices. We had the breakfast buffet, and also ordered room service a few times, lovely food! Friendly, helpful staff. Great location, would reccomend this hotel

This Radisson Blu hotel is a beautifully designed modern reconstruction that incorporates and preserves some features of the preexisting, older buildings out of which it was constructed. The rooms are very nice, a little small by US standards, quite comfortable by international standards. The rooms are all new, modern, clean. The radiant heat in the bathroom floor was a huge plus. The hotel is well located on a quiet street between two canals but quite close to shopping, restaurants, and sights. The Red Light District, which is wonderful for its nightlife, bustle, cafes and, yes, red window girls, is actually quite nice to stroll around. The staff was uniformly friendly and helpful. The fitness center is small, but reasonably well equipped with a treadmill, an elliptical, a spin cycle, an exercise bike, several weight machines and freeweights. There is a sunning bed and a sauna (co-ed as is usually the case on the continent and, yes, men and women will sit and converse naked in there). I would highly recommend this hotel in Amsterdam.

Room Tip: I don't think there is a bad room in the place. The hotel has two buildings on opposite sides o...

This Radisson Blu Hotel has a nice and quiet location, situated just a short and charming stroll away from the Dam Square, Rembrandtplein and the Red Light District.
The hotel offers more or less all you need, i.e. a fitness center. The breakfast has a wide variety of food, warm and cold. Fresh orange juice is always present and you can order the type of coffee you want, in addition to eggs prepared your way.
The staff is friendly and very serviceminded!
This is sort of an expensive hotel option but for me this was worth it!

Room Tip: Stayed in a deluxe room which was a nice experience. Not the biggest deluxe room I've stayed in...
