After two stays at the Bank Mansion over the past 4 months, this hotel clearly ranks among the better choices for a trip to Amsterdam. The location is very central and the hotel can easily be reached by public transport (tram stop outside the door). Rooms are quiet and spacious (do ask for a room facing the back of the hotel, though), beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are gems. Frank Lloyd Wright, Macintosh or Berlage aficionados will very much feel at home - the decoration is consistent throughout the hotel (watch out for those psychedelic carpets and curtains). The overall aim to create a 'homely' feel works out very well: the large lounge with open bar is perfect for both relaxing and business talks, free drinks and snacks feel like a treat. Breakfast is varied, large and good. The hotel's quality control also showed when a billing error occurred after my first stay: they were most correct about promptly reimbursing the extra claimed sum. In all: not cheap (rock bottom price is 149 euro per night) but definitely worth every penny.

Hotel certainly met expectations, great location, friendly helpful staff, good breakfast..all you would need for a weekend break and more. The extras offered is a lovely addition to the normal, it is really nice to have had a full day out and return to the 'free' bar to enjoy a glass of wine or two and again upon returning from your evening out to enjoy a night cap! We also hired bikes for our 3 night dtay and certainly found that this was the best way of getting around Amsterdam, quickly and safely believe it or not! All in all we had a fantastic trip and should we return again to Amsterdam there would be no hesitation in booking at Banks Mansion!

It was supposed to be a very good place for business meeting and stay, but i didn't find it great enough. Banquoet hall was nothing great, service was mediocre and food was average. Overall not a very nice experience to talk about.

Wonderful hotel. Great location, very clean, tons of amenities. Convenient to flower market, tram, restaurants, and within walking distance to most major attractions.
Staff was always available and very friendly and helpful. Offered help with baggage, called for a taxi, had helpful information, etc. Very pleasant.
Revolving door is a little tricky, but there's a wide, regular door right next to it for moving luggage through easily.
Room was bigger than expected, with VERY comfortable beds, pillows, chairs, etc. The bathroom was great, very clean, very nice. No view, but didn't request one, so that's OK.
Minibar in room is complimentary (especially nice in Europe, where a soda or water can cost you a small fortune) and there's a very nice bar area with drinks, candy, and snacks in the lobby. There are also computers with internet for no charge, plus a printer, always helpful. Breakfast is included and was pretty good.
Not the cheapest place to stay, but well worth the bit of extra expense
