“Good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2014

We stayed at this hotel for a short break in June, and were very pleased with the value and the comfort of the hotel, however we hadn't realised that we had to catch a tram which took approximately 35 minutes in the city centre. Saying that, it was a pleasant ride, the trams were every 10 minutes, and the ticket sellers on the trams were very nice and chatty too. The hotel was in a lovely spot next to a park (with parrots in the trees) and the tram stop was a delightful 5-minute walk away along the river path. The only other negative aspect of the hotel apart from its distance from the city, was the fact that there are no tea of coffee-making facilities in the room, although we discovered (on our way out) that you could make your own downstairs in the bar and take it up to your room if you wish.

The rooms are mediocre as they are, but what makes them awful is the fact that pigeons perch on ledges just outside the windows. This means that every single morning of our stay, I was awoken at 5:00am and had to routinely get up and chase them away as they make an unbelievable amount of noise. Infuriating to say the least.

What I like most, the relationship quality/price.
The cleanliness of the room could be better done. One day they forgot to make the room.
The situation is not really a problem. If you want to get downtown in less time, remember that you can change at Lelylaan station and take the Tramway number 2 instead of going on the whole route in tramway 17. I discover this in internet, the hotel never mentions this important fact to its clients.
The price of the breakfast is high considering the poor options of the bouffet. But in general terms the experience was positive.

I visited this hotel during summer, with my friends and it was the perfect choice for us, it was clean, the room
looked good enough, the people were very nice, the breakfast was ok if you are not pretentious.
It was a little bit far(10
min to the tram station - 15 min with the tram-2.8 euros/person) from
the Dam square, the tram worked until 12:00 in the night, once we had to take the taxi :26 euros from Dam square. For some young couples who took trips all day and all we needed was a place to sleep and shower, it was perfect!

Rude and aggressive staff! who are racist! Actually have the audacity to raise their voices at guest!
We had bloodstained sheets, no kettle or wifi which came with our package, No hot water in the bathroom! The bathroom had a strong stench of urine!
We had to get the police involved to get a refund! The Manager had to eat his own words!
Too far out form the city centre! stay at the flying Pig or somewhere in central as you will be spending the same amount of money on travel differences!

Room Tip: Don't stay here, you will ruin your holiday!

The hotel is not bad. It's a good option for people who wants to save some money and don't mind that the hotel is far from the center. It doesn't have much, the wifi signal was very poor in our rooms and the decoration is a little bit old.

We stayed for a business stop in this hotel.
The room is clean, spacious, compared to the price, the bathroom functional and spotless. The breakfast absolutely sufficient. Parking is in front of the hotel on the public road and a non-guarded parking place of the hotel, but well illuminated at night.
Very satisfying, compared to the price of this all!
