Just returned from the summer journey. The hotel is very good. Situation is excelent. Close to the railway station and all the city facilities (shoping, museums, etc). Red light distict is in 15 minutes on foot. Rooms are clean and comfortable. We were lucky to have this hotel for a discount price. So, I can recommend to stay at this hotel.

Stayed at the Convent Hotel from 3 to 6 July 2009. Very convenient position as close to the station and trams run from outside the hotel. Very comfortable hotel, staff friendly and very helpful - answered all our questions and gave good advice and information and sold us a "strip card" ticket for the trams, which worked very well. Free newspapers and free use of computers in the business centre for internet access were appreciated. I liked the cosy bar decorated in the style of the Orient express. Breakfast was fine - lovely fresh bread - though not exceptional. Would definitely stay there again.

Nice rooms, small but clean and well appointed. Hate the single beds pushed together to make a double but that's a European thing. Internet and movies were expensive as was breakfast, Very central location, walking distance from central station. Felt too much like a large chain hotel for my taste for that's a matter of preference. I prefer something smaller, more off the beaten track.

We've been to Amsterdam several time but this was our first stay at The Convent and it will not be our last. The hotel is centrally located with very helpful and friendly staff. The rooms are spotlessly clean and the beds are as amazing as mentioned in previous reviews.
