I recently stayed at the Park Hotel with my partner for a long weekend. The hotel is roughly 30 minutes away from Schiphol airport.
As soon as we arrived the staff were incredibly nice and checking in was a breeze. The hotel entrance was great - fresh perfume, nice big couch areas to lounge in and a bar to the left.
The staff checked us in but unfortunately no one showed us to the room, we were just given directions to get there. Our baggage was also just left for us to take ourselves. Our room was on the 5th floor which meant that we had to get the lift to the 4th floor and then go up 2 flights of stairs with our luggage.
The room was spacious, but I was expecting a much bigger room. The gym was available for all visitors but we did not use this. We drank at the Momo bar/restaurant next door which was very convenient. The shower was the best, a huge shower head, but be warned none of the toiler or shower doors locked.
All trams went past the hotel so getting into dam square was very easy. The location itself was pretty good. Staff pretty much helped us find where most touristy things were, which was a big help.
One thing I didn't like, and being a geek, this was an issue for me, the internet was 9.95 euros per day. This only worked in the room and not the lobby or anywhere else. if you wanted internet in the lobby you would have to pay extra. I would have hoped given the current time, that this would be free and much more widely available.
Overall the service was great and I would highly recommend the hotel to anyone.
