Don't look a the outside and rather see what you have inside. Very warm welcome from the front desk that gives an overall very good first impression. The impression appears then to hold true, the personel of the hotel is just very professional, efficient, warm and of good advice. Rooms are very clean, spacious and warm. Just a nice experience. I will definitely come back again and strongly advise people with high expectations to try it.

Great experience! Look forward to being back to the hotel! It offers a great package for people travelling for business who are pressed for time and want to combine business meetings with the opportunity to exercise, relax and re-charge their batteries under the same roof in a qualitry environment. Many thanks for your exceptional hospitality!

In terms of service and attention to detail, Okura is definitely playing with the big boys and the 5* rating is well deserved. It may looking unassuming or like a hospital from the outside, but inside it is well decorated with a warm ambiance.

We arrived at 9am and even though only one of our rooms was ready, we were able to check in. This was a swift process performed by a pleasant multilingual receptionist.

The rooms were a decent size facing the canal. Rainfall shower with a separate tub and all the other amenities you would expect of shovel of this calibre. Comfortable beds.

We only had breakfast at the hotel, and even though this is bit pricey in my opinion, the breakfast options were plentiful and able to cater to our varied tastes without disappointment. It's a pity we didn't try the cigar lounge, this is on the list when we return again.

Pros: service service service. Excellent WiFi, close to the museum district.

Cons: location, but hey its quiet. Pricey breakfast

Tip: arrange airport pickup via hotel. Much cheaper than taxi's at the airport though not by much (10-12€)

Room Tip: Doesn't hurt to ask for a free upgrade.

The Staff is so welcoming and helpful. The size of the room was great (we were two and with big luggage, which came on handy) and even the bathroom was neat and clean. Definitely returning to this hotel.

Room Tip: The free wifi is excellent for social networks but if you need to work, you can pay for a faster int...

Stayed here over new year's eve, and it counts for one of the most memorable hotel stays I've had. Service is first class all round, as are room provisions and facilities. The cocktail bar on the top floor has an amazing view across Amsterdam which proved to be the perfect spot to watch the NYE fireworks whilst sipping on cocktails without having to battle with the crowds in public bars. It's a shame we didn't have the chance to dine in one of the hotel's restaurants, but a return is imminent. I'll definitely stay here again and may even add in an extra day to the trip just to laze at the hotel - you'll be tempted not to leave!

Room Tip: I believe all rooms are of equal comfort and noise insulation. Obviously if you can afford the execu...

This hotel is close to the conference center. It is large but the rooms are beautiful. The rooms are modern with all accessories that you expect at 5 star hotel. The shower was a walk in which was nice. The fitness center and spa was state of art but for a price. My only negative was that the front desk did not accomodate any simple requests, even a 1 hour delay in checking out. The japanese restaurant in the hotel is outstanding and worth a meal (may have one star).
