“Fantastic Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 days ago NEW

I stayed first two nights with my wife and then three nights with our company. This is a true five star hotel ( not those wannabe ones). Service, food, rooms etc. Fantastic and will come here again! There are alson nice breakfast places near if you prefere to have smaller and less expensive breakfast compared to the hotel's.

We are grateful that we had the chance to stay at Okura Hotel Amsterdam.
Most impactful was the true personal approach and service of all employees. We felt known, seen and well taken care of.
Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable; facilities are luxurious and restaurants and bars a treat to enjoy.
Bicycle rental enabled us to explore Amsterdam, whereupon we had the best Gin and Tonic ever, refreshing Mojitos and a taste of Japanese Whiskey.
Don’t leave before breakfast! And consider having the great Japanese noodle soup…

Room Tip: Higher floors have great view of Amsterdam

My wife and I recently stayed here for three nights. This is a very, very good hotel. Fragonard toiletries, lots of fluffy towels, everything you would expect of a top class hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff, especially the concierge, Mr Lex, who was a mine of information and organised our check in for our flight back. The location is not that central but the canal side setting is great and the bar by the canal was a wonderful haven after exploring the city. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

the Hotel is lovely. We shared snacks and wine in both the Serre Restaurant and the top floor 23rd Bar. the staff was friendly and helpful upon checking in and greeted us whenever we came down. The rooms were nicely appointed with great products, towels, robe, slippers, comfotable bed and nice view of the canal out back. the one draw back, if you can call it this, is that it is not as centrally located as we thought. it was a 20 minute walk to the closest tourist area (museums) along the canals. nice walk, but not very close if you want that sort of thing.

Great hotel from check in to check out. The aircon was not working in our room. No problem upgraded to executive suite! Best bed I have every slept in, so comfy. Staff friendly and gave a lot of information on the area. what to see and where to go. Executive lounge was great. Complimentary snacks, wine beer and soft drinks. Was annoyed at the way some guests left their rubbish behind them and tv blaring in the lounge. But we are not all house proud I guess. Hotel gave us late check out too due to other room not being upto standard. Hotel is out of the way but once get hang of trams no issue. Get the 12 to museum quarters then 5 to Dam central. Was so easy. Would stay here again no question!

Room Tip: Rooms from floor 17 and above all executive rooms. Great views day and night. Corner suites giving...

We already agreed that when in Amsterdam next year, we will definitely book Hotel Okura again.
This hotel made our vacation. The facilities, service, attention to detail, room decor and the food all were above the quality one would expect at this price point. Their concierge was extremely helpful in suggesting places to eat, and as a result we had some truly excellent culinary experiences. Since we wanted to try as many restaurants as possible we only opted for Okura breakfast on our last day there and I must say that I was sorry for not doing it earlier as it was beyond reproach. Given that one can easily pay double the room rate for similar quality accommodations I would definitely recommend this place to everyone I know.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 507 - it was great. I can't say much about others.

What a fabulous hotel. Everything was perfect, from the friendly and helpful front desk to the room which was spotless. I had lunch in one of their restaurants which was delicious, with the lovliest server who made the exprience that much more special. I also had a treatment in the spa which I loved, again, the staff here were fantastic ending the treatment with fresh fruit and green tea. All in all an extremely positive exprience which I hope to repeat in the future.
