“The Perfect Business Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 13, 2014

For those doing business at the RAI, this is the ideal hotel to combine comfort, elegance and service with great convenience. The RAI is a 10 minute walk but once you return from a long work day, nothing can be better than to enter the charms of this hotel.

I have just been staying there for a couple of days and enjoyed both the Japanese (1 Star Micheline) and the Ciel Bleu (2 Star Micheline) restaurants. They are exceptional value! I can recommend a visit for anyone business traveler, tourist or local gourmet.

Stayed at Okura for only one night since my flight would depart early in the morning the next day from Schiphol. Anyway, a few hours were enough to impress me. They cared about every little detail to make your stay comfortable. Service is friendly and polite, rooms superbly clean and well furnished. Highlights include the complimentary Nespresso machine in the room, separate shower from the tub and excellent bed. The free internet is not especially fast but certainly the best one provided by a Hotel during my Europe trip. They also have a faster (paid) option. The room desk includes power outlets from other countries (UK, for example) but I missed an US one. For tourists, not near the city center but easily accessible by tram. You will only need to walk 4 or 5 blocks to reach the nearby stations.

The Okura Amsterdam sets the very highest bench mark for hotels in Europe! It brings quality, sophistication and elegance to Amsterdam. Fantastic location minutes walk from the de pijp centre, trendy, excellent selection for dinner across the three in house Michelin star restaurants (even for vegetarians) made to an impeccable standard and presented beautifully, beautiful views of Amsterdam and the canal from the bedrooms and the sky bar, immaculately clean rooms, extremely polite staff trained in Japanese etiquette, ample selection for breakfast including in-room breakfast options. Free in room amenities include a wide range of products, a large bottle of water and stroop waffles! The hotel has a renowned gym and swimming pool. I cannot fault this hotel, perfect for holiday makers and business individuals wanting to avoid the hustle and bustle of the centre but stay a stones throw away. I've stayed here many times and Okura continues to be my favourite :) big thank you to Natasha for making my stays perfect!

Room Tip: Deluxe rooms or executive rooms!

Positives: Absolutely spotless, 4 different restaurants one of which is a roof bar and Restaurant, The staff were very friendly and polite, nothing was too much for them. Our room was very comfortable and had all the creature comforts you care to mention. Superb body treatment and spa.

Negatives: Nothing serious, Ok a bit out of the way but then who cares when you can hire bikes and ride around everywhere. Pricey...mmmm just a bit but there again you have to pay for quality.

A truly 5 star hotel ran by a great team. Thank you for making our stay so pleasurable.

Room Tip: Higher floors have much better views

We stayed at this hotel during my company's annual sales kickoff.
It was outstanding. The rooms were perfect. The internet was great, the food was in good taste.
The conference halls were a good size. Coffee breaks were well managed. It was a great choice to stay.

Room Tip: All rooms are great
