Forced to stay here as entire city was full. Hotel is fine but for the high cost of over €200 a night not worth it at all. No breakfast included and even the bike rental was almost €20 a day. Bus to town was really fine considering the location. We walked to the nearby Windmill tour which was excellent.

Thank you for the taking the time to tell about your experience. I am very sorry to read you thought the price you had to pay did not suit the value you got. We think our prices suit our services and facilties we offer, also compared to facilities offered in the same area. I am very sorry you do not agree with this.
I hope you will give us a chance to serve you better in the future.

Stayed here recently for one night, have to say that I was pleasantly surprised about this hotel. From the outside i wasn't convinced but the the room I had was more than comfortable, there was a problem with the T.V. which they quickly corrected....
I ate in the Restaurant which was pleasant although the food was not 'The best' nice menu, plenty of choice but I felt the quality was lacking a little, but great service all-round.
There is a regular shuttle bus that takes you from and too the airport about 10mins.

A great find and would defiantly stay here again when traveling through Amsterdam.

Stayed at the Mercure in May this year for one night of a layover on my way to Africa. It was what I expected.

I went with a friend that had never been to Amsterdam before so we wanted to see the city for the one day we were there. We got into Schipol around 5:30am after customs and retrieving baggage we went outside and easily found where to wait for the shuttle. We were at the hotel by 7am and allowed an early check in with no extra cost.

The room was clean and comfortable, perfect for a short stay and had easy access to a bus stop right across the street.

Did notice on the way home there was a walking trail near the hotel as well that some guests were using.

The next morning getting the shuttle back to the airport was just as easy. However, we arrive right at 7am (the time we scheduled it for) and the shuttle driver was very rude and angry we were "late."

I have recommended this hotel already for people looking for a quick layover spot that don't need a lot of bells and whistles.

This hotel is purely for what it states, airport lay over. It can be used for the near by business park though walking over a gravel path for part distance is not the best. It is a definite no for tourists unless you are willing to drive or be limited to the bus service which is ok during the day, not sure about later at night. Tram would take you 30 minutes plus to walk to. Hotel itself is an average hotel, bar and restaurant were pretty good, I enjoyed both meals and good service. Rooms clean but anyone over 6 foot will struggle with the shower. Complimentary apples and coffee at reception a good touch, not many hotels have this.

I'll start with the good bits first to try to maintain some balance. Staff were very friendly and helpful, the beds were comfortable and the food was delicious.

However, the location out the back of a BP station is not ideal and does not lend itself to ease of access unless you have brought your car. The location is also a little inconvenient as it isn't at the airport, isn't in town and isn't that close to the Rai. Again, if you had a car this would probably be ok. The hotel offers a free shuttle back to the airport, but does not offer one into the city, which would have been fantastic.

There were two of us staying in the room, but it had been configured in a strange way. Two single beds pushed together but still made separately. Not quite what we were looking for. Unfortunately, one day our room was not made up at all, and other days the housekeeping staff had only half cleaned the room, leaving dirty cups still on bedside tables. There were also traces of where someone had smashed a bug on the wall and no one had cleaned this up as well.

The final nail in the coffin for us was the shower. My partner had never seen a shower mat before, nor anticipated that it would really be necessary to use it. When using the shower for the first time, it was so slippery she fell over and hurt her hip, which then became very bruised. The remainder of the time we used the shower with the mat in, which isn't a very enjoyable way to use it.

Sadly can not recommend this location to anyone, unless there are alterations made with house keeping and the bathroom facilities are improved.

Spent a lot on taxi to go to city centre. The only nearby building is a petrol station outside the hotel that you can buy some essential stuffs. Pay to use the TV. Breakfast is OK but need to pay. Free wifi. Room is OK.

Thank you for sharing your experiences and thank you for the compliments about the room and the breakfast.
The hotel is indeed not located in a central area, but there is a busstop across the street from the hotel. From there is a bus going every 15 minutes to the Museumsquare and the Leidsesquare. It is a pitty you have spend much money on taxi's and I am very sorry if this information was not clear for you and/or not explained well by our receptionists.
We very much appreciate your feedback and we hope to welcome you soon again.
