“Free shuttle to and from the airport - a big Bonus, clean rooms”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2011

We stayed in this hotel for three nights. The rooms were clean and fully equipped. Wifi is available but is not free. It costed us Euro 5-6 for the time we stayed at the hotel. Not bad at all.

The front office desk is very helpful and also permitted us for an early check-in. The shuttle drivers were equally nice and informative.

Travelling to the Schipol Airport was made extremely easy by the free hotel shuttle. Although, be aware that a trip to the Central Station (center of Amsterdam) will cost you 7 Euro's and is not covered in the GVB daily pass.

Amsterdam is a beautiful city and we had a pleasant time staying at Mercure Amsterdam. We would love to stay there again!!

We stayed in this hotel for one night, because it being closer to Airport.
The interiors needs refurbishment. The room was smelly.
The lift was small considering the size of the hotel. We always took the stairs.
Free use of computer/internet in the reception.
We ate outside so can't comment on the hotel restaurant.
The hottle shuttle service was good and on time.
Though far from the City Centre, the hotel has two buses on diffrent routes connecting to City Centre.

This hotel is certainly out of the way, and the shuttle runs every half hour to/from airport. It's about a 15 min ride from the airport. Since KLM put us up here, I'm not sure what the rates are. But it was a very 70s style building that looked to have been rennovated.
The common area was stylish and the bedrooms seemed to have been redone as well. Sort of a 70s retro style design.
Dinner and breakfast were both buffets and no menus were available. Not sure if that is how it is always done. I absolutely loved the food though, and got plenty to eat. If you do buy drinks in the bar it was expensive 3 euro for a small coke bottle.
The room a/c didn't seem to be working that well, we opened the window and were comfortable even in Aug. There is also a smallish in-room mini-bar. Tolietries were a conditioning shampoo, shower gel, and bar soap. There was a pants press and a TV with some international channels.
Bed was pretty comfortable, not the best, but not awful. We really enjoyed our stay, and loved watching the bunnies eating out the back window.
very pretty area, but not near anything if you are looking to sight see. If you had a car I imagine it would be good. And if just staying to get to the airport, just fine.

Me and my husband enjoyed a three night stay at this hotel. We were part of a coach trip with others. We arrived about ten thirty in the evening so we were very tired, but the reception staff had us checked in very quickly and we were in our room within minutes. The bed was very comfortable and the room fine for what we needed. It was clean and although a little small we had no complaints. The breakfast was very good with lots of choices from bacon eggs beans to ham cheese to yogurts and cereals and fruits. Coffee was on the table although on our last morning there was non due to the machine being broken I dont know why water could not be boiled but that was the reason for non that morning.

Not really sure this can be described as a four star property - it's a basic novotel-style hotel, dating from the late 70s/80s and has had some refurbishment, but perhaps needs a bit more, particularly the beds. It feels more 2 to 3 star than 4 star. The lobby areas seem nicer than the rooms. Can't say I had a particularly comfortable night's sleep - but rates are cheap and I'm sure it's an adequate alternative to the various other airport stopover places. Staff were courteous and friendly. Breakfast was plentiful and again, fine, but nothing exceptional. There is a shuttle bus every half hour between the airport and the hotel but it only seats around 8 passengers - so in the morning when there's a rush for early flights it's pot luck whether you get on or not - I ended up paying 25 euros for a taxi for the 10 minute journey to the terminal. I suspect there may be better choices.
