The Golden Tulip Hotel is a great place to stay. Breakfast is a bit expensive (€ 15 - and we even got a discount!), but avoid the breakfast buffet and head outside for grabbing something to eat. Apart from this, the hotel is excellent. Great location, nice room, cheerful and friendly staff. Recommended!

Great service from day one. The room was nice and clean. Location is quiet, but only a few minutes walk from the Dam square.

steps away from the train station and all the amsterdam activities. Rooms are new and clean -a breath of fresh air after old european hotels. Staff were very helpful and friendly upon check-in.

Other reviews said the hotel was in a loud area, which is somewhat true, BUT the rooms are completely quiet , couldn't hear a peep. Also the size of the room is perfectly standard for a european hotel and even has a small sitting area.

Overall a great stay and would definitely stay here again.

“Don't be fooled by the booking site-poor hotel”

The hotel doesn't look anything like the booking site photo's (booking.com).The room was dirty,the shower area corroded, the room security non-existent, and the behind the counter service extremely poor. Wouldn't suggest the place to anyone.

perfect location - very near central station and tram stops just one block away. very quiet, despite being in a bustling part of town. Free wifi, elevators, clean facilites, and an average sized room ( for Amsterdam)
