booked through lastminute.com on their top secret 4* offer. Definately not given a 4* single room. very small and shower was tiny, old fashioned and either scalding hot or freezing cold. Reception very reluctant to upgrade me, but did in the end to a room which was more in keeping with 4star status.

Would NOT book top secret offer again or this hotel. Definately central. Def clean.

just back from amsterdam and what a beautiful city it is.would defo stay at this hotel again.was with my girlfriend and 2 year old child and couldnt have been made more welcome by the staff.relly friendly and always with a smile on their face.we could learn so much from how they live,brillant attitude to life.heiniken brewery defo mus c,coffee shops good,rest of shops good,canal cruise good,red light disrict weird and anne frnks house good.only bad point was taxi driver robbed us by charging 68 euros for a fare that was 44 on way back.so if u du choose 2 get a taxi ask price or make sure u c a meter.other than that minor blip cant wait 2 go back

This hotel in a fantastic location very close to the main square on the main street and in easy walking distance to most places. All staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. We received a room upgrade as we were travelling on our honeymoon and the suite we were in was just amazing. We found the breakfast buffet really good and the few other meals we had in the restaurant were great as well.

We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Amsterdam.

I stayed here for 7 nights on a business trip and I have to say this hotel made an otherwise awful trip a more bearable one! Like some people have said, the rooms are small but ideal for one person. They are very clean and serviced everyday. I made good use of my room whilst staying here, the room enabled me to have some ‘me’ time during a very long tradeshow in the city. (the shower was amazing!) The room had a very well stocked mini bar and a room service menu which again I made good use of. The food arrived with 15 minutes and it was lovely! The food in the restaurant of the hotel was again really lovely and quite reasonably priced. I heard a few people in my party complain about the breakfast, powdery scrambled eggs, no fried eggs etc. I however thought the breakfast was great, selection of hot and cold to suit everyone. Lastly I have to say the staff where brilliant, very friendly and willing to do anything.

Location wise, it doesn’t get any better than this, it’s located right on the edge of Dam Square, there’s a tram stop literally outside the hotel and all the bars and restaurants you could ever wish for!

All in all, I thought the hotel was brilliant and will go back there for a personal trip sometime next year.
