4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2014

Food was great service very good, very helpfull staff. A bit too close to the trams but nice outlook ,we were their on queens day so we dressed up in orange and it was a fun day, went to the casino Hard Rock Cafe walking distance to the hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for the back a little noisy in the front road noise

Been there 5 times between 2013-2014 for business.
Great location. Clean rooms. Great decor. Superb mid-town restaurant.

The Taxi service could be better. It seems the bell boys have some agreements with specific drivers, as i couldn't follow the logic.

Enjoyed the stay.. nice rooms. it was 15 min by taxi to the RAI convention center or 25 min by tram.. Its better to stay near downtown and enjoy the city where it is lively , rather then close to the convention center..
No pool in the hotel.

Definitely recommending this hotel. Staff are so welcoming, check in quick and easy. I was a late arrival but a last minute room request was accommodated with no issues.
The rooms are not massive but very comfortable. I could have slept the entire weekend with how comfortable the beds were but Amsterdam is so beautiful you are always out! I had a room with a small balcony on the side street but was nice to be able to step outside for air. I'd recommend contacting the hotel a bit before your arrival to put in a request for a high floor. Shower was good & strong and good quality hairdryer in the rooms.
Staff were fabulous, food lovely and hotel in a great location. Will definitely be returning for a longer visit!

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor on the outside, facing the Park.

I have been staying in Marriott Amsterdam since my first visit to the city early 2005. I always stayed for business and with family. Its Marriott after all with its wonderful spirit and care. The location is the finest accessible I could come across in the city. The hotel was renovated few years back and it even become far better than before.

When I am with family, next to the hotel a very large public garden with lakes and wonderful ducks! My kids have always enjoyed feeding them the breads left overs. Bicycles also are a choice to freely ride in this garden in the busy city.

The hotel is surrounded with many and lots of restaurants options minutes in walking distance. Lily's Coffee cafe in the hotel lobby and the hotel lobby serves truly tasty burgers and very delicious food varieties (they care about food taste quality which is very uncommon in touristic locations hotel).

Being a Marriott reward member, I always receive the wonderful benefits in this hotel and access to their newly renovated lounge as well,

Rooms are clean and good enough for the value of money. location and standards perceived.

Sure the staff are very friendly and accommodating like most of the Dutch People are by nature...

Highly recommended for family, with friends or alone...

Room Tip: Family Large Rooms (Corner Rooms)...

Hasn't changed in while, our fifth visit in 9 years. Our room was comfortable, clean and quiet. The location is hard to beat. Easy access to the museums, city center, parks and airport buses. The breakfast buffet was nicely displayed and had lots of options, try the muffins!

The hotel staff is helpful and polite. They offered some really good recommendations on restaurants.

Room Tip: Ask for a street side room, upper floor. Buy the executive lounge package instead of breakfast.

Two of us arrived off a longish flight and give top marks for the welcome and assistance provide by Reception and porters. Our Room was not ready as it was still early /mid morning but they stored our luggage and them moved it to our room while we unwound in Sorels - their casual cafe/bar. Slight hiccup here as our food/drinks order was not delivered because the staff member went off shift without passing it on. Fulsome apologies offered. Later we had dinner in their Midtown Restaurant and my advise is do not miss out on this really wonderful experience. We had planned to 'venture forth' on our second night but instead returned to enjoy again their really wonderful service by a cheerful and delightful staff. The splendidly presented food and wines also helped us in that decision! Breakfast food was excellent but again a hiccup when a new and poorly trained staff member who had been given the job of clearing tables which he did with a vengeance - when we returned from the self service food display - Tea, plates, everything had disappeared from our table. Really it was funny. Again fulsome apologies offered and accepted and all was well. A different waitress ensured all was well and kept checking and plying us with addition food and coffee. Prices were some 10/15% higher than we would expect in Dublin. Rooms were very well appointed and quite. (mid week.) The hotel is really in the centre of a city and offers easy access to most points of interest.
