I have stayed at the Krasnapolsky twice on business, and to put it simply, it is the best hotel in Amsterdam. On both occassions I was only there a couple of nights, however everything about it is five star and you should have no hesitattion booking this hotel. The food, drink, rooms and service are all perfect and it is 100% centrally located. A true central city five star hotel.

This was the third time staying at the Krasnapolsky. It is a fine hotel. Always clean. The staff is efficient if not overly friendly. Rooms are big enough and well appointed. The location is terrific for tourists and biz alike. Only complaint is that the 5 star price delivers a4 star hotel. However, you won't have to worry about one of those miserable hotel stays.

Had to stay there for a conference. I think they get a lot of their business via conferences so they don't seem to really care how they treat you. Certainly not 5 star service, with reception staff quite rude and the term concierge is being applied quite liberally here. No baggage service, no calling of taxi's for guests, breakfast extremely expensive......would not stay again unless someone else paying.

We stayed here for three nights before taking a canal cruise through Netherlands and Belgium. By booking through Continental Air Lines, our room was about $200 per night (without breakfast: 25 euros p.p. was outrageous). The room 506 was on the top floor overlooking a court yard and the city sky line. It was quiet, comfortable and what I expect from a 5-star hotel in Europe. The main bar was excellent and the fitness center was well maintained. I would stay here again in a minute, as long as the price was about the same (It's probably NOT a $400 a night property.)
