Don't be duped into renting one of these "luxury apartments". I rented a two bedroom deluxe for a week and it was filthy and disgusting. I checked out the following morning. Words can not describe this experience other than to say that I felt like I was in a ghetto. The hallway entrance should have been my first clue as the carpet is torn and filthy, the walls are filthy and it just gets worse from there. I will say that the night manager that I spoke to was very professional and polite vs the girls at the front desk who giggled and laughed when I lodged my complaint. I am very puzzled by some of the other reviews regarding these apartments and their glowing comments. I cannot believe that the hotel is even associated with these "luxury apartments"; it is false advertising to describe these as "luxury apartments". I will never stay at the Krasnapolsky again!!!

And yes indeed you do wander aimlessly through the kitchen to get to your "luxury apartment". I recommend you keep wandering right past them to the Pulitzer or the Dylan. Luckily, I was able to get a room at the Dylan so my trip wasn't completely ruined.

We chose the hotel after reading the tripadvisor reviews. It was even better when we booked the room due to the special offer theyhad on the time. It was only £250 for a week for a double room for the both of us! The hotel is a 15 minute walk from the station and is overlooking Dam Square, which is a perfect location. We were met by a very helpful doorman who took our cases and showed us reception. The staff were very friendly and off we went to our room. The room was huge and gorgeous and the bed was the biggest we have ever stayed in! There were fresh linen, towels and a basket of toiletries every morning. The dining rooms in the hotel are fantastic and definately worth a visit, even if you are not staying there!
And make sure on the way in you grab a few sweets from the reception, they have bowls of them everywhere. It was all the small thoughtful touches that made this hotel special and we will be going back.

We stayed 28 Aug - 1 Sept as a romatic break for two. The hotel was immaculate. The room was clean and a decent size for Amsterdam. The hotel's facilities were fantastic and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was a little expensive so we ate out most of the time, but we would highly recommend the American breakfast via room service as it was ample for 2 people; and priced at 23euro, it was the same cost as eating out for two anyway. We would strongly recommend this hotel as it is so central to everthing and having viewed a number of other hotels in the area, this one was by far the best. Try to get a special deal though. We paid 520euro for double room (back of hotel as its quieter) via bookings.com for 4 nights and that was a fabulous rate considering the real rate was well over 1000euro. Cannot fault this hotel.

went there during the most dirtiest week of amsterdam, they had a sanitation strike. the hotel was great, housekeeping did a wonderful job. but the reception was a bit unfriendly. the porter was a great help. do not eat at that japanesse restaurant inside the hotel. it sucks! it tasted burn and lot of salt. . over all its a cool place to visit. but not much to see. went to ann franks museum, thats what i like the most. dont waste ur money on that palace, museum, rather walk around town, and shop. i was a bit scared. but it was ok.
