“Business Hotel in the centrum”

This is a big 4-star business hotel located in front on national monument obelisk and 15 min walking from central station of Amsterdam. You can go to any attraction either walking or by public ground system
This is not a family hotel since the night life is very active in the surrounding because is just 2-3 blocks to Red Light district, and the noise of street could be heard until late night. Unless your kids are grown up like mine. The smell of "cannabis" in certain areas of centrum is common specially at night
Certainly the renovated area of the hotel has big rooms with huge king bed or two double beds and enough space for your baggages which is not a typical european room. Few TV Channels. Service is good but nothing extraordinary. The breakfast buffet is pricy (EUR 30/pp) but you have plenty close alternatives for eating in Amsterdam

Room Tip: Ask your room will be in the renovated area..

We booked this hotel for our first visit to Amsterdam. The location was perfect and the the staff were delightful from start to finish. Victor the waiter was such a sweetheart and all our needs were catered for. The hotel has managed to find the perfect balance between traditional and contemporary. We had a rear room which didn't provide any views however there are rooms that do. The concierge was extremely helpful and we made great use of the free service.Overall a very pleasant stay

Room Tip: Not all rooms have double beds to its wise to request one when booking your room

A very busy hotel, polite & helpful staff, we had a problem with our room, we paid to upgrade, but the room we were given was not cleaned or made up, so we were given another room & credited back the upgrade cost, whilst the 2nd room was not as nice as the 1st one, we felt we werer fairly treated so no reason to complain.

The loaction couldnt be better for sight seeing as you ar e in the middle of the centre of the city, so everyting is at your finger tips !

a real hidden gem was the traditional Dutch geenever (gin) tasting house at the back land of the hotel, a must do if you visit, will definately be back !

Room Tip: make sure your room is atleast on the 3rd floor or higher to reduce the noise of the city

Customer service was poor however location cannot be complained about right in the heart of dam square. Understand what your paying for as I was charged hidden fees on checkout overall been to better hotels in the city.

We booked a week before arriving in Amsterdam and paid 1200euros for three nights- the most expensive motel I have ever stayed in.
Check in staff was very friendly and we were able to be given a room at 10am after a 25 hour flight. However the hotel is due to many additions poorly designed and it took some time to find Elevator 7 which is not marked.
Trying to book some tours was OK until payment which was required in cash. Unbelievable that tours cannot be added to the hotel bill.
The room was one of the new renovated rooms and adequate. Certainly not five star.
Overall this was a very overpriced accommodation. Well located in an old building which needs a lot of money spent on it to make it truly 5 star.

Had a great time at the grand krasnapolsky. This is a great hotel to get to from the airport, short train ride to the central station and a very short walk. It is right in the middle of dam square. Easy access to coffee shops and boat rides. Me and girlfriend stayed here, it was a nice and clean room although room service and minibar is rather expensive. Please bare in mind there is a €50 charge on arrival at the hotel. Would defiantly stay here again and would recommend to anyone travelling for a short stay in dam square.
