“Great hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2013

9 of us has just returned from a two night stay at the Rembrandt Classic Hotel & I would highly recomed this hotel. I booked it thru hotel.com & got it for £70 for 2 night B&B & the breakfast was very good. The hotel staff were very polite & helpful, the hotel is not far from all attractions. Would definitly go back to this hotel.

Hotel was tired. We were there for 3 nights and were put in a family room for the first night with no explanation as to why then we were expected to move the next day to another room. i had already requested-to have a canal room view which we were given and it was much better. This hotel because of its great location could do so much more. Kettle tea and coffee would be a start and there was no air con and no option to open a window which made it very hot at night. Overall the price was overrated but the breakfast was good!

Room Tip: This is a hotel in a great location but it needs looking after. The rooms overlooking the canal are...

This place looks much better online than in real life. A hole in the wall of our room, the breakfast was buffet style mediocrity (powdered eggs, hard day-old (at least!) waffles, lots of sugary choices, etc), the Wi-Fi never worked and there are stairs leading up or down to most rooms - half-floors so no elevation access. I could go on but not great for families. The people working here are very nice but have little to work with.

This is a great little hotel in an extremely handy location for central Amsterdam. Turn right out of the hotel front door, seconds later take the first street right (nice shops here) and in a few minutes you are in Dam square. I stayed only one night and it was a Friday - was not disturbed by any noise at all. The Singel canal is at the front of the hotel, my room windows faced onto a small quadrangle so did not face the canal and street which might have been noisier. The room was small but clean with a comfortable bed and en-suite with bath and shower facilities. No coffee and tea making facilities but room service available and take out sushi can be delivered. Price was very reasonable - it was a last minute on-line booking with easytobook.com. The flower market and Kalverstraat are also within easy walking distance. I would book this hotel again.

This hotel is cenntrally located for dam Sq and lots of bars and restraunts, can even walk to the flower market. Nice clean rooms, with everything you needed. Reception staff really friendly, they gave us a map and marked on it where we were and where everything we wanted to visit was.

My boyfriend booked this hotel and online and on arrival we were pleasantly surprised.
Its location was perfect, nice a quiet but less then a five minute walk from Dam square and you had it all at your fingertips.
The receptionist on arrival booked us in (charming Spanish lady) and gave us our room key, a tad early to go to our room they stored our cases and we were free to hit the streets. On our return we found our room looked out on to the canal, with a full set of French windows opened fully it was perfect, great room, loads of space.
We would stay there again in a heart beat.

Room Tip: Called beforehand to ask for a canal view, told 30 euro's extra on arrival but the room we got c...
