Everything at The Toren is great. Everything. Great rooms. Great staff. Great service. Great value. Great food. Simply great!

The rooms are very charming. Free internet. Coffeemaker.

Breakfast comes with coffee, bacon, eggs, baked beans, fresh fruit, bread, meat, cheese, orange juice. And I think breakfast even goes until 11:00. Wonderful for sleeping in while on holiday. After breakfast, the room becomes the bar/lounge. Cool decor. And I think I could sit there and eat ham & cheese tostis and ice cold Heinekens all day long.

The staff really bends over backwards to make certain you have an enjoyable stay. Stay here!

Room Tip: If you're solo, the "tiny" room is perfect.

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at The Toren, and couldn't have asked for more! The room had amazing and beautiful decor, the room was spotless, the bathroom wonderfully large and well stocked, and the MOST comfortable bed! The hotel is in a great location, right across from the Anne Frank House and near lots of restaurants, bars and the city center. The service we received from the staff was phenomenal. They are always polite, helpful and genuinely nice. We were a little spooked when another hotel guest accidentally tried to enter our apartment, and they were happy to immediately send a staff member to confirm our building was secure. I 100% recommend staying at this hotel, it is worth the little bit of extra money!!

Room Tip: There are two buildings, the main building has the bar, front desk, etc. The second building has onl...

Thank you Petra and Eric Toren. We have just had the loveliest stay at your Toren Hotel and been so spolit by your superb staff. Thanks too for making the stay even more special with recognising our first anniversary with a wonderful gift from you personally.

We were lucky to split our stay into two sections and take a night out to go to Rotterdam and Delft to see friends. The Reception staff allowed us to leave some luggage behind and then on last day we left our luggage again so we were free to wander for the day before a late flight home.

We stayed in the canal view deluxe with the Jacuzzi bath for 3 nights which we thought was lovely but then on the last day the builders moved in and were upgraded to the garden room with jacuzzi and steam room which was absolutely stunning and the height of luxury. Both suites were Baroque stylised very tastefully as were the common parts of this grand building overlooking the Canal. The beds were so comfortable and the complimentary products extremely high quality.

The breakfasts were gorgeous and we were thoroughly spoilt by your very professional team of waiters, nothing was too much trouble for them. Special thanks to Hram, Evangelico, Kevin and Motor and also Magnus who showed us our room when we first arrived.

We were also so impressed with your Reception staff and those we had the most contact with were Priscilla, Henry and Kelly – all Reception staff were lovely people who noticed everything and made sure our stay was perfect. In fact we had made friends with Priscilla and Kelly prior to our visit with all our questions beforehand!

We love the ethos that your staff took a personal interest in our wellbeing and strove to make our stay complete. I don’t know where they find the time as Reception is constantly busy. Everyone at the Toren is committed to make every little detail perfect. They were all sincere and they enjoyed their jobs too.

Breakfasts were scrumptious. My personal favourite was the smoked salmon with scrambled eggs and the pancakes. David liked to pile his plate with your full cooked breakfast. There was so much that we completely over ate.

The Baroque styled bar is magnificent with a good bar menu food and cocktails and wines etc. What a great place to be. I wish I were there now with a strawberry Mojito staring at the angels on the ceiling!

Not far away, I would recommend the Belhamel to eat for a special occasion, the cafes in the Jordaan. We liked the Noodoest (or something like that). A must see is the Heineken museum. For other museums buy a 50 euro museum pass and see as many museums as you like preferably by canal boat. For us as cat lovers, the Pouzen Boot was a great find. Reception were always keen to help us fill our days and even with our terrible sense of direction we managed to an eclectic array of activities.

We really hope to come back again very soon, have the Jacuzzi and chilled Champagne ready in the garden suite, please!! We can well see why you are the top of the Trip Advisor league.

With best regards and thanks to everyone at the Toren. David and Jane Willis.

Room Tip: Executive lounge with garden view

Just returned from a short break to Amsterdam. My wife and I stayed two nights in a superior room at this hotel. Room felt a bit cluttered, largely I think because of the massive whirlpool bath that dominates the available space. Style is very boudoir.
The lounge bar area doubles as the breakfast room. Breakfast is excellent - every possible option provided, or if it isn't on display, they are happy to try and provide it (boiled eggs, for example).
Reception staff excellent - nothing too much trouble; recommended restaurants, ordered taxis efficiently and printed out my boarding passes for the return flights accurately. Note there is no computer/printer continuously set up at this hotel, although they do have a guest laptop they can lend you, but you'll still need to mail the information to reception to get print.
Only minor gripe I have is that the staff ate their meals in the bar area during the evening. Personally, I don't think this is very professional, but I guess space is limited in this hotel, so staff dining options are probably limited.
If you are looking for a small, friendly hotel close to Anne Frank museum, this should fit the bill.

This hotel it beyond amazing!!! This was our first trip to Amsterdam, we first stayed a couple nights by the airport then switched over to The Toren to be in the heart of the center and we were SO glad we did. As many have mentioned in their reviews they picked this hotel because the reviews have NO negative marks...well it is true they are flawless! Every employee there but especially Henry, Haram and Evangelize incredibly helpful, kind, warm and attentive to your every need. I received an email from Lieselotte stating she had made a minor mistake and that she would have something nice for us when we arrived...well that something nice turned out to be chocolates & strawberries in our room, free breakfast each morning, 2 free drinks and an upgrade to one of the most beautiful rooms there. Thank you Toren Family for your professionalism in customer service. We wish you much success!

Room Tip: Might be a little noisey facey the canal

Stayed in Amsterdam for just one night and treated ourselves to this hotel. Good location in the heart of Amsterdam. The hotel itself is incredibly beautiful and the staff were very helpful from the moment we arrived. Got shown to our room which was large and beautifully decorated and included a jet tub with multiple light settings! Then went to the bar for our complimentary glass of champagne with strawberries and mint. The staff could not to more to help you and were very friendly. Breakfast was delicious; we opted for the more continental meats and cheeses but cooked food was available. Lots of fresh food and good selection of breads. Absolutely fantastic stay here and would 100% come back if returning to Amsterdam. A must.

Cannot fault this beautiful hotel. Great location in centre of Amsterdam, lovely room and courteous, helpful staff. What more could you ask for?! It was our 40th wedding anniversary and we were greeted on arrival with a bottle of champagne, chocs and strawberries - a truly thoughtful gesture on this special occasion. This is the kind of treatment that makes a hotel really stand out from the rest. Would definitely recommend and would stay there again if we return to the city.
