“Great hotel in a decent area.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2013

We stayed here as part of a 3 day trip to the city, I was paying with my Accor club vouchers so we got a Privilege room (which would usually additional €30). For that, you get a stocked MiniBar and early check-in, not to mention what looks like a nicer, bigger room. The room itself was fantastic, super clean really big, comfy beds and amazing shower. We barely heard anything from anyone else while we were there, though it was hard to tell how busy it was. Some people have suggested it's hard to find, but that's nonsense. Yes, it's not on a main street facing a cancel, but it's not just off the main tram route, and Amsterdam is so incredibly easy to navigate I fail to understand how anyone could get lost. There's also a number of cafes, coffeeshops and restaurants all within a 5 minute walk. One of which 'Trattoria That's Amore' is an excellent little Italian place. Go there, you'll not regret it!

All in all, this was a clean, comfortable hotel in a great location with polite and super friendly staff. No complaints whatsoever, only thing I would say is if I wasn't paying with Mecure vouchers, it would have been a tad pricey.

Room Tip: Get the Conexxion shuttle from the Airport, it'll take you straight there for around €12 return...

Hard to find, rooms were noisy, old and small. No dining near here and everything was difficult to find. The hotel is off the beaten path but very hard to find in the dark. It wasn't convenient for much and I would not book or stay here again.

We have stayed at this excellent hotel before. It is ideally situated, and quiet. The breakfast is very good, with an efficient coffee machine. It was good to have a kettle in the bedroom -- we could leave our travelling kettle at home. There are plenty of relatively inexpensive eating places close by. The Rijsmuseum is 15 minutes walk max. Our only criticism is that there was no provision in bedrooms for coats -- the only occasion when we have encountered too many hangers. We were visiting in late November, when coats are necessary! We had to use the hooks in the bathroom, but they were close to the toilet. We also felt the carpets in the corridor were impractically pale. The staff were very helpful and very fluent in all languages. The only problem we had, a light not working, was quickly fixed.

Room Tip: Our room on the 2nd floor was very good, apart from the lack of coat hanging space

Booked this via trip adviser and expedia. The hotel is very clean and down a side street with the only noise being the kindergarten opposite. Good breakfast buffet, hot, cold and fresh. Very pleasant staff and quiet bar. 15 minutes to Dam square so fairly central. Tram stop a couple of minutes.

We stayed for 4 nights in October and on arriving late we were upgraded to a superior room on the second floor. It was everything we needed for a whistle stop tour of Amsterdam. The room was clean & the service was faultless. My ownly gripe was breakfast, the selection wasn't great but I think that was only due to arriving at the end of service.

We stayed here for on night in November. The parking area was very small and only 5 cars could park at the same time, and let me tell you that they charge you 45 euros a night which was abnormally high for the place. we found a parking place in the alley which charged 36 euros. The room was also terrible, I mean the bathroom was really dirty when we got there and I am sure they didn't clean it up for us, also the towels were not clean! We also had a very simple breakfast, and I could not find more than one type of cheese in the buffet. Suppose that you go to Amsterdam and you find only one type of cheese in the breakfast, how come is that possible? I have to tell that the sleep quality was fine, and fortunately internet was included too. The location was not so bad, but it was almost a 30-minute walk to the Dam Square.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking your time to write us your findings. We were sorry to read that you had some remarks. We will certainly sort out what wrong in your bathroom. Concerning the parking : Amsterdam has, as a small capital with many canals, not many parking space. We have 12 parking spaces (6 inside + 6 outside) which we rent for our guests. Therefore we can not offer them for free, unfortunately.
