“Centrally located close to fun and tourist attractions”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013 via mobile

This is a small modern hotel located in the heart of Amsterdam. It is only a few minutes walk to central station, Dam square, the red light district, cafe and pubs in the canal area and Anne Frank house. Room was spacious and clean. Staff helpful and friendly. Great pub/restaurant just under the hotel. Overall a nice place to stay for a weekend.

The Hotel is very nicely decorated, and the restaurant café is great
the Location for Amsterdam is perfect, very central, but quiet as well
I would definitely recommend this hotel and if I visit Amsterdam again would definitely go back
the only problem is, it is very expensive, but then so are most in Amsterdam, the hotels are very pricey, it has to be the most expensive place for hotels ive been and ive been to a lot of cities!!!!

Amsterdam, is a mixture between nice and not so nice, but what do you expect its Amsterdam!

PROS: Excellent location (12 minute walk / 1km from Centraal Station); free wi-fi in the room; kettle (tea, coffee, cappuccino); nice helpful staff.
CONS: Price (a bit expensive); it would be nice to have a minibar in the room.

After wandering around Amsterdam looking for a hotel we stumbled across this one. All the grotty hotels we had been in to wanted 150 Euros per room and when the lady on reception informed us that all they had available was a Junior suite at 150 Euros we decided to take it.

We couldn't have been more delighted. The room was large, spacious, modern, clean, quiet - everything we wanted and more. Bathrobes and luxury smellies were provided and I couldn't resist having a bath as it was so huge. The bed was large and luxurious, the staff were friendly and we got vouchers for a free drink at the restaurant next door.

Room Tip: I can highly recommend the Junior Suite

Ok, it was Europa League Final night, but €175 for this tiny room was outrageous. Room 401, avoid it. Nothing like the photos, so small no art on the walls. Reception unmanned when I arrived, young lad who eventually appeared was very helpful and friendly, location good. Thats the best i can say about it. How did it get 4 stars?

Room Tip: Not room 401

The hotel is right in the center of Amsterdam, just 10 minutes from the Central Station. The accomodation and the stuff is generally fine but the standard rooms are a bit small for the price they charge. The breakfast is served right next to the hotel at a beautiful vintage restaurant!

I was in ths hotel 2 nights at the beggining of April and I was so dissapointed! The welcome was horrible from a lady on the reception! Could't arrange the payment, just when I asked her to try again, then she didn't give me any information except what is my roomnumber, she was simply rude! Then I've got a really cold room. I asked to change it or make it warm somehow. Then I got an other room, where I had to wait 20 mins on the corridor, because the same lady from the reception was training the housekeepers in that room. Very unproffesional!!!! The view from the room was disgusting, you can see the top of the other houses with millions cigarettes on it. No big mirror and no hairdryer but at least i was not cold. Then I payed for a tour at the hotel, then an other lady on the reception gave me wrong addres, where I have to go at the morning.. (Ialmost missed the trip) and she wasn't helpfull at all! They did't tell me anything just when I directly asked something, then they answered! Very bad!!! The room was okay, but dirty, the bathroom nice and big, the bed huge.. the best thing was the restaurant/bar! Very nice, okay breakfast and finally good servise!! The location is very good.
